My 96 overall fielding ball player can’t play any of his secondaries.

Anybody else have this problem? He’s a outfielder in RTTS. But his archetype is 3b primary and everything but catcher is secondary. I put him in the outfield abd shortstop and he fields like a bronze?? So I have to put him at 3rd and only third.

Or put a real player in for him.

As far as I know, secondaries don't work. If you want an outfielder, you'll need another archtype. Well worth it though; cap is the best player in the game.

Why would I put a player in for him when I grinded and spent a lot of stubs on equipment and perks to have my player good? Foh with that logic.

Does he actually field like a bronze or are you just going by the shield? I’ve moved my SS Ballplayer to 2B and even RF so I can use different combinations of players and have had no issues so far.
-
It is noticeable. Will miss a base hit directly to him when I have him at center field. Drops easy fly balls and his accuracy meter when I throw from these positions is like a character with 20 accuracy. Misses grounders at SS. Put him at 3rd and he’s making diving plays doing everything right.
-
really wanted to put him at center field or shortstop and I grinded thinking that was gonna be possible considering it says secondary position. Has SDS addressed this at all or no?

Bronze is being generous. Feels More like out of position penalty.

I just don’t understand why the secondary positions are put under the archetype info. And then when you put the player in it says secondary on the card. But then it plays like a out of position. If you can only play one position why not just tell us that?

If your playing ranked seasons you can change your primary position... Say you want a catcher you select the bronze slick fielding catcher archetype and put your player at catcher than when you select ranked season it will ask what loadout you want at that point you just select your best loadout and the position wont change just the stats

Awesome. I will try this out thanks

Yah this is something that is still broken at the moment. Someone else explained how to work around it, ill try to explain it. You need to make 2 archetypes, one that is for the position you actually want to play and the other is the archetype you want the stats for. You make the one for the position you want to play active and then when you go into an online game it will ask which archetype you want, at this point you pick the better one woth the stats you want. They will now have the position of the first archetype as their main position but the stats/attributes of the second archetype. Hope this helps.
