That bust your balls through in-game chat. People, probably adolescents or with that mentality, that feel obliged to finish a game with some smart Azz comment. Typically personal and not warranted.
I believe their parents should pay more attention to what the heck their kids are doing..obviously.
I also believe if their parents don't teach them, someone online is going to lay it out to them.
It won't be pretty and, likely, those same parents that don't monitor what their kids are doing will wake up. Probably save said kid a much worse lesson and bring parents attention back to where it belongs. Bummer when a stranger online has to teach an out-of-control jackass kid a lesson in decency and respect. Whatever level they have to go to get said point across. The lower the level..the more it will stick and parents will pay attention.
When I set up the PS5 I shut down all chat. I've never initiated it myself and, evidently, I can now prevent it from being initiated. I like a nice quiet game void of harassing in-game chats. Keeps me from having to respond in kind.

I turn messages off outside of my friends list. I can bet people have rage quit against me quicker because of it because they know they can’t taunt me or ask me for handouts.

Yeah, it's probably always for the best.

No, because it's an anonymous video game people talk STUPID smack. I've played sports my entire life, I've given and taken smack. Mostly in fun. You go over the line..you might really get smacked.
There is no recourse, well any that the perps expect, when some smartazz follows up a frustrating game (because this game is absolutely that) with some "na.na.nana.na" carp and suggests they have skill and you don't. Typically it's more like "You play like $hit" or something just as jackassish.
In real life..soccer, boxing, football, baseball, you name the sport..you have a real chance to prove yourself under the constraints of real life physics, training...sans AI controlling the outcomes. In those situations if you feel man enough to sac up and taunt an opponent you just beat fair and square...have at it.

Best advice I have for you is stop worrying so much about others’ opinion of you. Especially in an online environment. Whether that’s Twitter, Facebook, video games. People have no fear of their words hiding behind a screen so you should have no care of what they say.
It comes down to just feeling secure about yourself. I have a job where people talk **** to my face often but their opinion means nothing to me because I love where I’m at in life. A lot of it is just jealousy or trying to bring you down to make themselves feel better.

I'm the opposite. I came from XBOX about 2013. I miss hearing kids getting beat by mom or just regular trash talk. It's what online play was all about.

Fair enough. I, personally, don't worry about it. Don't dwell on it even.
But, unfortunately I suppose, I'll be pretty abrasive and unkind when I respond to dip$hits like that. That's why I just tune 'em out now. Works out best for both sides.
