Constructive criticism/suggestions for moments
-
I like to try to rationalize/analyze the way I feel about certain things and I’m trying to analyze why I have a strong hatred for moments.
I figured I’d ask others on here why exactly they passionately hate moments as much as I do and maybe we could come up with some constructive criticism for SDS to possibly make moments a more enjoyable (at least to where I would actually rather play a moment than poor bleach in my eyes) experience.
Big one for me would be increase strike frequency for the CPU pitchers.
How many times do you go into a moment like hit 1 XBH and the pitcher will go to a 3 ball count before you see anything that’s not a dot on the paint. Or better yet just flat out walk you. It’s especially an issue in multiple stat moments or multi game moments.
There also needs to be more control over when there are baserunners on base which limits how many total bases you can get very often. And to feed off of that… TURN PICK OFFS OFF for the CPU. We want to bang these moments out and not wait for 3 pick off attempts and 2 pitch outs (for a 60 speed base runner we have no control over) before we can even think about getting a decent pitch to hit.
What else?

I am the very definition of an average player, and I have almost no problems with Moments. If I get into a pickle I simply switch to directional hitting and bang them out. I may be in the minority, but I really wouldn't change a thing.

Get an extra base hit. You have someone with 30 speed on first base who will always stop on second base.
Get an extra base hit and the pitcher stats you out with 3 balls.
Get a home run and it might take 15 minutes to do on rookie
I too hate moments

It’s not about difficulty. It’s the petty little things that make these more frustrating than they should be. I don’t usually struggle with them very much, especially compared to a lot of people on here. They are just more tedious than I think they have to be.

I don't mind them, I don't enjoy them either. But they usually require very little effort and give you decent to good progress to whatever it is you're doing. That's a good trade off imo.

I would like some honesty with them. Make them play true to the difficulty setting. They need to stop adjusting the sliders for difficulty. The defense should match the rating of the card, not make insane plays constantly. Batting and pitching should match up as though you are playing a vs cpu or conquest game.
