Bat speed question??

Quick question for y’all. When a player gets a better/upgraded card does his bat speed change at all?? For instance I am still raking with Gold Jim Thome but can’t do anything with his new Diamond. Just curious what you guys think

No, this is all part of the animation. I really with they would quantify this somehow though. You've just kinda have to do the eye test with trial and error.
