Todays Moment made me think

This is almost a constant in any mode that is specific to AI games..Conquest, Moments, etc. I'm sure it bleeds over to a certain extent in online matches as well. It's all the same engine.
You'll give up that token homerun on a great pitch to give the AI the lead.
Because at that point in the game you're actually trying to be crafty with the correct sequences, dotting the outside of the plate, etc. But, of course, the AI has to produce animation to make the game "exciting". So, they'll take that pitch you dotted the edge with, move it in to the middle of the plate and, wallah, we have our exciting moment.
Typically you'll come back and win , but too often this extends a 3-inning game like today's moment into an extra innings bore-fest.
But, here is what the "Staff" needs to work on if they even care about coding realism into the game. Almost always, I would say 90% of the time, after you give up that phantom homerun off of a GREAT pitch..you can just throw anything at the next batters because they'll just flail. Once they got that "if statement" out of the way and satisfy the need for the exciting deficit, the game goes back to AI playing on rookie mode and you can mow 'em down with pitches anywhere.
So, yeah, if any developers ever peruse these posts, maybe take a look at doing something about this very inconsistent behavior. Makes the most gullible roll their eyes.

I don’t know I play the cpu on all star and above and they almost never score on me.

BTW, this game today's moment I'm currently playing and keep breaking from to journal the zany results..all 3 innings I'm batting have ended in double-plays. 3 DP's in a row to end innings. Can ya just sort of figure out a different scenario. This gets sorta old and trite too. Makes us paying customers feel like you aren't even trying to make it real.

Me neither. That's why I mention the pitch that moved to the center of the plate. How does the AI not score when they move your perfectly-placed pitch?
Ain't anything player skill, craft, or experience can do about an animation that doesn't match the play.
These issues you can't blame or lack of skill. Pure rig-job.

Think you might just need a break bro. I know how you’re feeling though.

Did you mean “voilà”?

For me, in conquest on vet or rookie once I bring in my reliever there is a 96% chance the AI will homer. It’s so annoying I either walk the batter or pitch balls in the dirt and hope he swings and does not homer off a ball in the dirt.
And yes after he homers it’s 1-2-3 K’s.
Also I know for certain after many many many games vs the AI they have hundreds of double plays vs about a dozen I have turned on them.
Another one, made a team of bronze and silver white sox, it’s hilarious to watch Eaton and Moncada homer with ease while Thome hit line outs with the same pci location as they homered with. Once I completed his mission he began homering regularly.
Also pitching by the AI I have a theory.
Imagine a dot, the AI then locates pitches off that dot. When the AI actually plays on rookie that dot is the middle of the plate. In moments that dot is 4’ outside the K zone based on your batters L/R/S position.I play the rockies a lot on vet and rookie and face senzatela and there are games where he center pitches until they take him out and then you get a game where he is def playing on HoF and painting corners and throwing nasty breaking stuff and I am saying to the screen, um game, is this rookie or vet?
