Hitting vs. CPU Nerfed?

Don’t think so. Played a conquest game on HOF to steal 4M fans and scored 10 runs very easily

I feel like the missions required for team affinity are nerfed. The pitcher missions especially. I have had to go away from how the CPU catcher calls the game because if I don't I get absolutely rocked no matter how accurate the pitch is. The Lorenzo Caine mission I have been stuck at 5/6 hits for a couple days. Seems like all he does now is pop up to the outfield no matter where the pci is at or how well I square up a pitch even pitches down in the zone where I had been getting groundball singles.

Hit pause and check wind. I just completed the TA2 maps and 8 out of 10 games I played had 7+ mph wind blowing in. I also noticed playing on veteran was cancer. Maybe it was just me being off the pitch speed and giant pci, but I started playing every game on all star and it felt a hundred times better.

The problem is the lower levels. If I play a game on veteran it’s a toss up if I go into the third at 0-0 or 1-0 or 10-0. If I play on all star I’m always bunting to get out by the 2nd inning. Veteran showdown, conquest, and moments are just terrible. Has been for a couple of years.

I've never understood why someone would pitch what the CPU wants them to pitch.

I play vs cpu everyday because I do not play online. I feel like conquest and vs cpu play totally differently! And even game to game is totally different too. Some games i get homers where the pci isn't even on the ball the next game i center it perfectly and timing is perfect but lady fly ball... so your not the only one!!!

Well the pitchers confidence can play a huge role. Lead off homer often leads to a big 1st inning. Lead off strikeout and maybe wont score a run til the 3rd inning

They are different. In conquest you’re facing pitchers with less energy from the 1st pitch. Fatigue and confidence for pitchers is huge

Oh yes I know that but it feels even more extreme than it being the only difference.

Seems to me I hit too many balls straight up the middle. Shouldn't my timing not be so precise? Shouldn't straight to center be my least most common place to hit?
