I mean, yeah I use pulse when I'm offline because I don't care enough to focus..,. computer vs online is much different when talking about pinpoint

I’m a much more casual player and I just can’t get into pinpoint pitching. It’s great for those that are very competitive but when I play, I just want to relax and have fun. And yes, I’m exclusively an offline player.

I don't disagree with that. It's likely more appropriate for online, but it wouldn't be worth permanently etching the furrow lines in my brow from over focus. Not to mention, RS is just tense enuf without adding another layer of cumbersome to it. That pattern stuff is just sorta goofy.

The game is supposed to be fun not excruciating and, perhaps, doing long-term damage to my eyes. As I type this my eye lids feel all droopy. Not joking, I had to drop some Visine from the eye-strain.

To each his own. You do you, I'll do me.

It’s for online if you don’t know how to pitch it will make it so you hit the black over and over so you don’t need to know how to pitch. Definitely wouldn’t use it in speed runs through conquest.

I've always used meter but made the switch to pinpoint this year. I use it for everything just so I don't lose my rhythm with it but I can totally see it giving someone a headache from having to focus a bit more every pitch. No shame in using a different pitching style, do whatever fits you. That's what makes games fun, doing things your way

I hope you have great success with it. I'm expecting meter will be just fine for RS as well.

I can't imagine adding more steps that you could fail and more opportunity for network lag to effect your pitching is better, but maybe it is.

    I really tried.

I don’t like how much the display takes over your attention. It’s like I’m not even “pitching”. I like meter because you can actually watch the pitcher and time the release off his windup rather than the high tech circles aligning.

It’s easy and effective, but I didn’t like it either. I’ve also played quite a few players already who can dot at will and I honestly think it’s easier to perfect/perfect pitches on the black. You just have to be careful it’s actually a strike.

I know, right? It's like you are completely taken out of the pitcher/hitter matchup and locked in this little separate puzzle you have to navigate. Just not for me.

If it helps ppl win a few more RS matches..good for them. I could see it being more susceptible to network effect though.

I have considered pinpoint a few times now and I keep telling myself painting corners might be bad for online since I tell myself most guys look corners and dont expect the ball middle-ish. Knowing I would be expected to focus and think about my pitching makes me feel much better not making the switch since if I wanted to focus on pitching I'd wait for beer league games sunday mornings

Your first point isn't to far off, Sometimes I have to not put the corners because they are sitting there.
