Hardcore Ranked Seasons?

If you’re playing on HoF and losing to scrubs usually on AS, that means you should beat them since the higher ranking determines the difficulty, or you’re losing to players in your weight class or above.

I don't understand? It seems to me tha5 when I play guys that are still on the all-star setting, they end up with a huge PCI and mine is small(gigity). I see this as a way of balancing the game, that's why I am asking for a different game mode to not to penalize the casual players

I usually am but this year I haven't had the patience to play through the nonsense.
I see you have a World Series tag, and I would totally play you right now if you want.. just so you can see I should be in the 900s
I believe you. And I get by with my pitching more than I do hitting. I’m not bad (around .320 I think) but my pitching is better
Those are great numbers bro. I only have 4 guys on my team that hold a .340 average for more than 100AB.
I can promise you that I am not a better hitter with different players.. I have the same reaction time and my fingers move the same
Also want to point out that I collected the entire live series, so my team is loaded with studs.

See I only have one guy that’s below .300 right now and that’s Finley for some odd reason. Posada and Goodrum are still hitting over .400
Oh I wouldn’t put much emphasis on opponents feedback. That was broken years ago and I wouldn’t be surprised if it still is. Especially the PCI size. I’ve seen streamers play on Legend and it still shows PCIs being the size of the strike zone on opponent feedback. Even if they were contact swinging, there is now way that’s accurate.
-
That's very good to know, thanks for the info because I had no idea.
I can't get Finley to hit above .275 so it's the card. My Soriano is hitting .203 while my live series Jose Ramirez leads the team at .330 [minimum 100ab]
I just got Trout, Ortiz and Chipper so I don't have enough ABs with them to see anything yet.

Where spot in the batting order do you hit Goodrum?

This is the first year that difficulty advantage goes to the higher rank. The player under 700 has the smaller PCI and higher pitch speeds like you do. And yes, like the other guy lower said, feedback is iffy. Yours is usually correct, but the opponent is approximate from what I can tell from my experience; of course, can’t speak to other’s

8th lol. Benched Soriano. Couldn’t do it

Okay you're most likely correct but we are deflecting off of the original point of the post, asking if we should have a hardcore ranked seasons. Where it's based on user generated outcomes, not a baseball simulated outcome.

Yeah he's riding the pine for me too. You know what that shows right? Having the same results with the same cards (Finley, Soriano) it shows that the game holds back results regardless of user input.
You could square any pitch up with Finley, but wont matter cause that card cant hit above .290 in online play over a 162 game stretch.
It's a well thought out concept and you are right its a great way to keep the stats realistic. The better players foul balls off, they have no business making contact with in order to stay in an at-bat
That being said, i think the foul balls could be tuned to have more swing-and-misses, with maybe some of them being switched for the hard-hit outs you see from the good contact...
Don't you feel like there are plenty of other opportunities per AB to justify an out, rather than the well timed swings?
-
I just want to give an update that I have been using Circle(contact) to swing and I haven't lost since the switch

There are so many people talking about the opponents feedback being right, wrong and everything in between but has anyone matched up and tested it? It wouldn't be too hard. That way people would actually have a definitive answer to the feedback system and how it works on the other side

It's actually funny you say that because I met somebody online and we played one another and were seeing disparages in the results on one another screen.
If you can send me a private message I will play you right now and we can do a test?

Well of course the game somewhat randomly decides outcomes out batted balls. Thing is, if you square up more balls consistently than your opponent, you should normally have far better results. So that’s essentially user skill benefiting.
They kinda have no choice to keep stats somewhat realistic. Fact is, it’s alot easier to square a ball in a game than in real life. Nobody wants to see guys with lineups of players all hitting above .750
That’s how the very best of the best players are able to overcome the randomness by have much better swings (user input) than the majority of the player base. You look at their teams and average between .350-.400
Hey man I really had to post this because I don't think I've ever had a more frustrating game in my entire career. I had a perfect game going through 6 full innings and then this happened....
tTe bunting needs to be nerfed, his base hit was a PCI nowhere near the bball hthenyou can see how he scored the tying run and to pputt the icing on the cake ,Ronald Acuna decided he didn't want to throw out the go-ahead Run oon ust outside the second base position

The bunting needs to be nerfed, his base hit was a PCI nowhere near the ball plus it was paint. You can see how he scored the tying run from the terrible swing and to putt the icing on the cake, Acuna decided he didn't want to throw out the go-ahead run from second base grass.

I’d like that, so hopefully people that complain about a baseball game replicating baseball would no longer be a thing. So SDS wouldn’t ha e to try and split the balance and potentially just wind up with both side not thrilled.

That hit by Musial is tough, but it started with horrible pitch input. I would’ve been happy with that outcome because that ball should’ve been crushed but that’s neither here nor there.
I take feedback with a grain of salt. I don’t trust it 100% because alot of the things I see don’t make sense. I believe what you see on your screen versus what you opponent sees on his is different (it was last year and confirmed so I have no reason to believe it would be different this year)
The Soriano hit sucks but jammed hits happen at times and just so happens it happened at the worst possible time for you.
As for Acuna, if you had used button accuracy, you would’ve 100% cut that go ahead run off. It would’ve been a strike at home (assuming you had perfect input which isn’t hard at all to stop in the green)
-
In the Musial AB, I had 87% accuracy and .05% early so I would hardly say horrible input. His PCI placement isn't on the solid part but with the good timing I would say after looking again, it was a solid reslut. It was just a chopper with the infield in that had eyes, I would want that from a hitters perspective.
I changed my button setting back to what you suggested because in years past that setting hurt me.
When i walked that guy, he had so many swings that he has no business making contact with and in my mind should have gone for an out.
Soriano hit is just sad and exactly what I am trying to avoid. I don't even want that from a hitters perspective because I would feel bad for my opponent. I understand those hits happened but only when you put the barrel(PCI) on the ball.
Those swings have no business making contact with the ball.
