Anyone else feeling underwhelmed with Rivera??

I’m just gonna let it happen organically over time. I’m in no rush whatsoever to get him. Not worth the crazy price tag.
I’ve been selling off a ton instead. This is as expensive if not not more than Trout/Honus

He’s definitely an end game bullpen card. But yeah, A reliever isn’t worth all that’s required to get him. I’m the same as you - I’ll get him, Just not gonna rush or buy any cards needed.

Once more non-sellable cared come out, I'll lock em in to get Rivera, but it's not gonna be a mad rush to get him at this point for me. I already had 6 vouchers/the 42 collection Robinson, so it's just a waiting game now for more cards to get released.

Its definitely not more expensive than Trout and Honus. Assuming the Signature Voucher is skipped and non-gatekeeper collections are completed, Also assuming TA's 1 and 2 are Maxed out you need to buy 4 awards cards, 3 Prime cards, 5 Milestones, and the 42 legends you don't have. Prospects are pricey sure but you can still get them for free. Don't get me wrong its quite expensive for a reliever no doubt, but the only reason its even close to Trout and Honus' Price is because there aren't many cheap ways to get the main 4 card series. In a month or 2 Mo will be quite cheap, although more collections are sure to be added by then

I think we all built it up so much that unless it was 99 Aaron/Clemente/Trout it was always going to feel underwhelming

Yeah I figured this would be a 3 part deal so I'm good with Marino and I'm going to let it just happen not forcing it. I'm really happy with everything today

I didnt watch the stream, so I was trying to figure out what the teased stadiums picture all had to do with Rivera.

Last year's was underwhelming. I expect more of the same. Die hard real Yank fan and have no urgency..I completed and got all last year and won't do that again this year.Spent way too much time but Covid hit and made it easier. No dice this year. For those that do not shots coming from this way. Get it fellas.

while I do agree last year rivera was underwhelming I think that had more to do with everyone had him and the amount everyone saw him through showdown and unsavory stat grinds online

While I feel what you're saying and I agree that I'm not going to go nuts to get him and pay a premium on a bunch of cards that I had no intention of getting but I do think this is about as attractive of a card for an early-game collection as we could reasonably expect them to put out.
I mean, maybe I overvalue bullpen arms but I had a ton of success with Rivera last year and to get a reliever that has just about no weakness this early into the year cannot be understated. I don't know what you guys expect this early into the game's life-cycle.
