Like you play two different opponents in one game. Like your Makin your opponent look silky on the mound then Like in the 5th all of a sudden they become disciplined hitting machines??
-
All the time. The system controls the pitch perception and hitting windows. We have very little control except when we don’t touch a button.
-
It’s called being warmed up. I play horrible the first game or two of the day and usually don’t play well against someone until the 3rd or 4th inning.
It’s not a conspiracy. It’s your opponent adjusting and picking up on your tendencies. As well as just being more locked in after seeing more pitches.

I think people pick up pitch tendencies by the 4th inning even if they are bad at the game or some just completely change their approach because it hasn't been working for them.
-
yes bro lmao. i'll be destroting a kid while he swinging at every curveball in the dirt and every outside slider then all of the sudeen this dude has the best eye in the game and is hitting nukes

For me its definitely the pitch tendencies. I tend to swing at almost everything for the first couple innings just to get timing down. And by then I notice what pitch and what location my opponent to going to in situations and wait on those

Happened to me last night. Dude was carving me up with scherzer till about the 8th inning. Was down 3-1, then all the sudden i started reading his pitches better and tied it up 3-3 to take it to extras and won 7-5 in the 10th
-
sometime you very well could be. a couple buddies of mine and myself will sometimes switch off innings in ranked when we are at each others houses - honestly makes it really fun & you can't get mad because you have time to cool down between innings when you aren't playing
-
He messaged me, "who tf did you hand the controller to because theres no way you just started hitting that good."
-
Most games I start off icy then heat up and stop swinging at nonsense especially when I see you know how to play a tad

I don't want to be one of those negative ppl, but what you said imo is just absolutely wrong. This guy didn't say it was his first game of the day..perhaps it was. I can attest, though, this "phenomena" kicks in at any given time. It's not something we're doing wrong/right. It's the way the game conducts itself. Plain and simple. Not a conspiracy..an observation.
You can do what you want, but sticking up for and arguing against a "conspiracy" as you call it..makes you seem a little bit out of touch.

There are honestly times when it feels like the game is giving me a boost. If I'm just getting carved up in a 2-0 game, I can almost always guarantee that I'm gonna get a couple of fat ones in the later innings and that I'll get a good/early bomb or something. You can feel it when it happens if you're being honest with yourself.
-
It takes me awhile to focus and adjust if I'm being honest. Also, most people pitch in a pattern and eventually I figure it out. I'm no hitting guru though
-
I'm a late bloomer. I am looking for a pattern and pick up on tendencies, like cutter low and away to righties (don't swing!). I also try to wear down the pitcher so the stamina is lower in 4th/5th when I have a better idea of the pattern.

Wasn’t talking about it being OPs first game. Could’ve been for his opponent. Also his opponent could’ve just warmed up, like I said. Maybe do some reading comprehension next time.

This is also true. I almost always go into a game with gameplan A, B, and C with respect to getting guys out. If they're squaring me up on gameplan C, they're just [censored] good with the PCI and I tip my cap.

yeah, there are some seriously good players out there. I don't believe the PCI feedback for the opposing team is broken at all, because I played someone in events earlier today who squared up every pitch no matter where I put it. The results on the field didn't lie and the feedback said he got every single one on the nose. Crazy good hitting because I wasn't pouring it down the middle at all.

Life is so much better when you accept that there are other people out there who are better than you at a video game.

Be careful these dudes will have you thinking it’s your fault your early on a 94 mph sinker one pitch and very late on a 93 mph sinker the next. It’s okay to acknowledge when the system is controlling stuff when you’re doing bad as long as your realize its helping you when you’re doing good. Just enjoy the casualness of it all if you can.
