Question about players getting diamonds..

Stupid question probably but if I have a card of someone, let's say Nick Castellanos. His card is gold and they release a diamond Castellanos. Does my gold go to diamond? How does that work???

If you have a live series gold, if the card is upgraded on roster updates like this Friday and the card you have goes diamond then you have a diamond. But if a flashback or something is released of nick castellanos that's a diamond you wouldn't have a diamond.

Welcome back, hope you had a nice little vacation! The answer is no, unless they give Castellanos an overall upgrade during the roster and attribute updates which would push him beyond the 85 threshold.

The Castellanos I have is an 85 and live series.

Okay I am just looking at some player cards to buy that have a chance of going diamond and buying them cheap.
