RTTS Pitcher forced to be two way player
-
Has anyone found a way to just have a pitcher in RTTS and not be a two way player?
I chose the options through the minor league to just stay a pitcher, when the agent called I stated I just wanted to be a pitcher. Now any time I’ve done a pitcher only RTTS play through it forces my pitcher to be a two way player after three games and never gives me an option to not want to be a two way player. This has happened numerous times and I don’t know a current way around it, it’s frustrating because when I get to the playoffs it just has my player become a position player for half of the games but does not allow me to pitch. -
At the beginning your agent calls you and asks you what you want to be. If you've gone past this initial step, you need to wait until your agent calls you again. He calls very infrequently, maybe once a season.

I literally mentioned this is my original comment. I talked to the agent, said I wanted to just be a pitcher and a starting pitcher. Every coaching option that came up I mentioned I wanted to be a pitcher. They have still forced me to be a two way player about three games into time being called up to the MLB. This is the third character this has happened to, I even waited a season to see if they would ask me to switch back to just pitching and they never ask. I posted all of this information in my main comment to avoid redundant answers like this that don’t solve the problem but thanks.

If you are saying you want to just pitch but it’s not registering, that sounds like a bug

Yeah I reported it. That’s what it looks like, no matter what I do I am forced to be one. I even deleted the position player load out and it still forces me to.

Having the same issue. Just want to be a SP.

Any update? Same things happening to me

today was the first time this happened to me. I've completed 4 archetypes & was always a SP only. no idea why today was different . so I just went to Schedule instead of play next gm, simulated to the day before each start so I only played in gms I was the Starting pitcher. takes a few extra seconds but at least I'm only focusing on my current pitching program

I'm having the same issue. I don't want to be a two way player anymore, just a position player. But when my agent calls, I let him know that I am not happy. The only topic brought up is about being traded, not the option to be only a position player. I'm going on my 7th RTTS season as a two way player.

Yep, had this happen to me also. I absolutely HATE 'My Ballplayer'. It has all but ruined RTTS for me, which means the game itself in my case. I guess I can futz around with franchise as a GM. I dunno. May go back to my MLB The Show 20 RTTS playthrough. At least the game won't screw me over with stupidity as much (it'll just have the same bugs that MLB 21 has).
