TV In Game Mode With 6.5MS Resonse Time Any Good Verus Monitor?
-
I'm trying to decide whether to keep playing on my TV (in game mode) which is connected to an Xbox Series X. This TV is not 4k, the refresh rate is 60hz and the response time is 6.5ms.
Would a gaming monitor be easier and help make me a better hitter or would it not make that much of a difference? If it would make a huge difference I'd do it but I don't really want to unless it would be a big difference.

I have a Sony X950 and primarily game on a high end Asus gaming monitor.. my TV is definitely one of the best ones out there, but I still feel a huge difference anyways playing on my monitor.

Your TV should be fine, yet you will want to know both your response time and input lag numbers to make sure. I have an LG CX that has a .3ms response time and input lag at 6.9 ,which is comparable to any console gaming monitor. I also get 4k, HDR and 65-inch of real-estate which makes it really easy to pickup the ball. The CX also supports 120hz and HDMI 2.1 so it is future proof as well.

CX is best out there, period. Very nice.
My bro uses the 49" as his PC monitor lol. Hurts the neck I'm sure. But amazing -

I got a 65-inch ..... as the extra real-estate makes reading curveballs super easy (they go way high on the TV) and also inside and outside pitches easy to read as well due to the extra real-estate. ;). I've hit insane with it in '21 this year and made WS... so I'm happy.

I love mine also. I have a fairly high end monitor ($550) 32 inch and it collects dust lol

Tcl 6 series TVs are nice. Few gaming features that are nice. I use Series S with it, and can run 120hz if games feature it.

I have a 1080p 3D (at the time it was popular) projector that on fast mode still outperforms all TVs I’ve tried in game mode. Amazing to play at 100’’ but when I put it back in the living room on the 49’’ 4k, it looks minuscule, can’t see a thing! I was 22 when I got my first tv that was over 21’’ in 2001. Boy do we get firstworldproblemed and spoiled easily.
