i believe so. inside edge is based on historical stats against similar matchups/pitchers, not how they're currently playing

He won’t get inside edge. At least I know Luis Robert doesn’t ever get it anymore. And even though he only has his at bats to go off last year he still got it

Honestly Trout usually misses a decent amount of time every season. Be amazing if he actually played full seasons. He would be a God.
And no. no inside edge for inactive players. When playoffs start all guys in playoffs will have it if they play that day but none of the teams that didnt make it will.

2013-2016 he did play full seasons. Just since then he gets banged up. Right in the prime of his career.

I was curious what they would do on the monthly updates with his ratings if he kept up the way he was playing.

The way he was playing lately he just would have stayed the same. He was kinda at the ceiling. If he continued with that 1.200+ OPS he had through April they might have eventually jacked him up a little, but not much more they could do.
