Take some time and go into Custom Practice. It'll help in the long run. Jumping straight into online games of any kind is never a good way to start.

This game can be and is really hard. Most of the really good players have a good gaming monitor and modified analog sticks. IMO those things shouldn't be needed to be good at a game but it is what it is. I don't use either but got a new tv recently. If you wanna "git gud"(I hate that phrase), get a gaming monitor

Button accuracy, use it, love it. I used to use just buttons on my catcher. 60% of the time he missed all the time. With button accuracy, on the nail every time.
With hitting, try picking a zone to work with. As an example, I ignore everything inside and on the bottom third as I can never get them.
Obviously the above isn't ideal and needs work but I'm an offline only type so it still works out most of the time as the CPU doesn't really dot that well.
Working specific zones in the PCI also helps your plate discipline as well, I'm prone to being a little trigger happy myself otherwise.
I'm brand new to this series myself.

Playable on a lower difficulty though.

If you’re in the green, you eliminate any RNG on throws. The bobbling/ passed balls depends on your positioning/angle, difficulty of play to be made and ratings. For throws, you can have 100% control.

Button accuracy is 100% on the user. Meter there is rng involved using the cards stats. Button accuracy is the way to go, not meter.

Monitor makes a world of difference. So much better to play on and that’s from someone with about as good a TV for gaming (by LG) that you can get.

Lol literally just contact swing right now. So broken. Youll get a ton of hits. Mostly BS hits but hits none the less

It's crazy; last year vs CPU I was demolishing them on HOF and barely winning on Legend. This year, I can barely score 1 run on Veteran sometimes. Hitting feels broken AF to me.

What errors are you making ? Hitting takes practice. Idk anything about your stats but if your new it’s gonna be tough for some people. I still have games where I hit like [censored] and I’ve been playing since 2014
