Will the release of the potm ohtani and burnes cards slow down the progression of their live series cards. Just in general if a player is doing good and his LS is due for an upgrade but they release a new card for topps now or somthing does it make the LS prices drop?

The reason his price is high is because people expect him to go diamond at some point. So they're investing in his cards right now to unload them for a bunch of profit once he does turn diamond. The release of another card or anyone else's card has nothing to do with this, no.
