Pinpoint pitching help
-
I started to learn pinpoint pitching today and can accurately throw every pitch except fastballs. They always go high. What could I be doing wrong? Even with 100% accuracy the pitches still are always up.

The release. Gotta nail it. 3 degrees off and it amplifies. Get that blue line on release and 90 to 100 on accuracy. Slow down the final movement on right stick. Nail that bottom circle when it's a small blue dot.

Yeah the timing is probably most important. Make sure you move the stick downward towards the bottom circle when the pitcher's motion is about to release the baseball. The timing and the angle weigh heavier than the actual motion itself.

As been stated, the single most important part is the final pull down. You can be 50% accurate and still dot the corner if you’re dead accurate on the pull down. Pitch confidence is also key, if you’re struggling with the fastball, it’s a snowball effect. You lose confidence on that pitch type and need to be even more accurate.

If you release early I’ve noticed it will always run high, if you release late it will run low. Just like in real life

Interesting. I've found fastballs to be automatic but I often go too fast on breaking balls/ changeups. From what I've seen, I think you have to draw quicker pn fastballs so maybe that's your issue
