    Exit Velo

Not sure how a pitch is 98 MPH and leaves at only 95 MPH? The PCI placement was pretty good (a bit low) and so was the timing. This was a flyout that didn't even make it to the warning track.

Simple, the game lacks proper physics.

Agreed, sometimes the outcome seems like they pulled it out of a hat.

Sounds like what happened was you dropped your PCI and that caused you to be underneath it slightly which would likely slow down the initial spin rate of the pitch causing it to drag more in the air which in turn slowed the exit velo down slightly. Just because a pitch comes in at a certain speed doesn't mean it will leave at a certain speed. Just like how you can hit a 72 mph curve and have it shoot out with 100+ exit velo on a bomb.

That’s not really my point though. What you’re saying is true but I’ve had that exact PCI placement and timing before and have gotten a 105+ MPH exit velo. It just seems like a lot of the exit velo results are random, but that’s not new info.

I don't know, but wouldn't player attributes come into affect with this.

Brutally honest opinion early on...game lacks realistic physics. It is built for entertainment purposes & you are going to fight the games built in "catch-up" engine. You may have trouble finding this because all video game developers don't like to talk about it, but it's real.

Ender Inciarte is known to have negative exit velocity, where it comes in harder than it goes out.

Yep. DDA. Makes mode like this and MUT thrive, lining the pockets of sds and EA.

People on these boards & reddit alike lose their minds over it not being real & try to come up with examples...but it is 100% factual. Go watch people play on Twitch...around the 7th inning, they start hitting no doubt HR's with their PCI way off to the left on a pitch up and in.

SDS tries to explain it off, but sports video games are getting farther & farther away from "skill" & more towards entertainment value...How can we keep the consumer interested & convince them they are "good" at the game.

Yep, and meanwhile sds releases a new shiny card thats destined to give you that edge and overcome those tuff losses, and little Johnny just gotta have it.

Not trying to argue what your saying but hear me out. Some batters have way better launch angles/swings then others and tend to hit the ball out more often.
Reason why people used mondesi and buxton, glitchy swings. Muncy and Gallo do this for me a lot. Now I’ve been totally off the ball pci wise and hit homeruns. We’ve all done it. I notice it a lot less playing higher difficulties but anything goes on all star or lower

No I agree with you that does play a role but Donaldson has always had a good swing in MLB The Show so I don't think that's playing a factor in this specific scenario.

Yeah it does. However, Donaldson has 90+ in contact and power so it shouldn't be an issue.
