You can be a catcher in RTTS. But I was never presented with any path the a diamond catcher card that could be used in DD. I was given 3 choices for gold, SS (El Mago), 3B (Iron Man), and OF ( dont remember name). I hoped that at diamond I could choose posiition, but nope. I leveled El Mago and I now have a SS. Since secondary positions do not work, I have little need for this CAP. I can go back to bronze catcher, but it is already progressed and no silver catcher option to work on. You NEVER get to choose a catcher option after bronze.

Yeah it's broken. And equipment doesn't even actually do anything in RTTS. Which is so big a problem you'd think they would have fixed it in the patch? Or at least acknowledged it? It's really a joke at this point.

My equipment seems to work sporadically. Sometimes it may work for 1 game then the next 6 games I get nothing. Only way I knew my equipment was working one game was because my speed for my player showed up as 60. Which made sense with my equipment boost. Though when checked the following game my speed was a 53. I was like wth. Clearly still broken along with loadouts and progression when switching between my position player and pitcher. My position player seems to register in progression, my pitcher does not. Even if I exit to the main RTTS screen and switch there. Just slowly grinding till they fix the issues. If they even do.

Yeah I only have one loadout and it still doesn't work. Glad I paid for diamond equipment that's completely useless. The fact SDS hadn't even addressed it pretty much sums up their entire attitude towards their customers.

They got their money. Now they ignore us to the point where they stopped weekly videos. Pathetic.

If this year’s game is a preview of what’s to come then it may be the last MLB The Show I buy. Or I’ll just wait 6 months after the release of MLB The Show 22 and get feedback from others before I buy. So far this year’s game for me is a huge disappointment. I like the 2-way player idea. It’s just horribly implemented.

So I've noticed now that it never counts the equipment for the 1st game of a series in RTTS but every game after that it does (when I play next game at least). So weird.

Randomly while at bat I'll notice my equipment affects my attributes but it's so rare (like 1 out of 15 appearances) it's pointless to count on. Wasted stubs on equipment.
