Actually you DO NOT want to use CPU Roster control. You want to use 30 team control. Set up two different profiles, one for you and one for the cpu.

Why not? I use CPU Roster Control and AI doesn't change lineups for any CPU team. Of course, I select all 30 teams when starting a franchise.

But it also makes weird situations though. Once you set CPU Roster Control "On", there's no trade and injury. Trade by CPU is acceptable because I can handle it by using CPU Roster Control but it doesn't make sense without any injury.

I have no idea what you mean by weird situations. Trading can be done with player movement keeping in line with what happens in real baseball. You select team 1 and then Player Movement in CPU Roster Control and move player from Team 1 to team 2 and player from Team 2 to team 1.

I'm not certain about injuries, and I really don't care about it. I have enough to do without placing injured players on DL.

Anyone else having an issue with lineups and pitching rotations being changed automatically even with it set to manual in the menu?

As soon as I sim a few games, the ai makes some wacky changes.

    Playing on Xbox One, btw.

Hold on. Do you mean changes to just your team or changes league-wide?

Just my team. I don't really give a hoot about the rest of the league, I just don't want my ace starter moved to the 5 hole or my $12 million closer put in long relief.

Playing as the Blue Jays, I traded for Khris Davis for some bench pop. The AI thinks he's a much better option than Teoscar Hernandez. I don't.

Ahhh. That's what I thought you meant. The others seem to think you don't like how the AI manages the cpu controlled teams but the AI is managing your team when you've assigned that role to you.

Now, you said you simmed a few games. I believe if you start simming ahead (sim to a date) the cpu will act on your behalf. I think only a trade offered to you gives you an option of "stopping the sim".

This is a huge headache, I’m constantly wrestling with this problem. I can’t find an answer for it anywhere. Is there really no way to set your lineups and rotation and keep them that way without computer interference? In my experience, changing the setting to manual is just an illusion. It does nothing to stop the computer from changing things. Im having a tough time understanding the purpose of giving you the manual option if the computer still sets your lineup and rotation for you. Can anyone explain this, or is this just the developers being rude and lying to users for fun?

Computer keeps putting in tired guys. I set up lineup with no tired players, but when I sim it is a totally different lineup....... Waste of time...

Can't even download rosters from vault to start a good franchise. Had game for 10 days and still waiting to play

You should be able to download rosters from the vault. They fixed that issue.

Just to experiment, I downloaded an Historic roster, looked at it and all was good. Are you on a PS5?

Absolutely do not use CPU Roster Control. It disables all trades, so you will never be allowed to trade anyone throughout that franchise, and it disables all budgets for every team.

I don't care about budgets. As for trades, you can do that with CPU Roster Control by using player movement.
