day after day...complaints about the servers. asking for accountability from SDS. you dont get it yet?
why do you think year after year after year..
-same EXACT graphics
-same music
-same announcers
-same EVERYTHINGexcept......Diamond Dynasty.
they dont have the manpower to do any of it. they arent some huge group that can throw resources where ever they want. they are given X budget. they have to fill staff and keep the lights on etc. that budget you can bet your [censored] is PEANUTS. its just enough to churn out carbon copy, year after year and everyone comes running back to play the card game that generates millions of dollars and cost them NOTHING to produce except the new card art fire. they are focused on as much money in and as little money out. this model sustains them and now they gave the game away on xbox. why? like a drug dealer. have this one for free, the next one will cost you. they arent dumb. the powers that be said, lets double our income sources and churn out the same game every year. and why shouldnt they?
they want your money and you handed it over. now you want them to be accountable? SDS doesnt work that way. they will always give the bare minimum to keep the players spending money on stubs. they dont care about RTTS or Franchise. they put a new feature on it and call it a day.
year in year out, the only thing that changes is the way they take your money. packs used to be cheaper. the way you accumulated stubs used to be faster. the more we play the more the slow roll us....

Unless you work on a software development team you will not fully understand the cost associated with bringing any software to the market and sustaining that product. There are more costs than you could ever imagine. You have to pay developers to develop new features, those features have to be tested, database administrators supporting a data warehouse, system administrators supporting servers, load balancers, networking folks, security efforts, virtual machine efforts, you have hardware costs associated with faster consoles and other platforms, you have to market the game, you have to pay for licenses, technical support staffing to work and track support tickets.
Then...when you roll something out that goes worse than planned, you have the additional cost of researching the issue, developing hotfixes, testing those fixes, deploying those fixes and community outreach. If people want to talk about money and limit resources then they should understand why SDS isn't responding to the masses with constant updates. I am as upset about how the game has functioned thus far as everyone else, but I whole heartedly believe that SDS is working crazy hours trying to fix all of the issues and will have the issues resolved moving forward. SDS can be plenty accountable without giving you your money back. But...if anyone wants to know why companies gives out extras for preorders, this release is a perfect example of mitigating the risk.

I’m pretty sure I just got dumber reading that. Thanks!

You people are total buffoons. The reason the servers are failing is because they weren’t tested. The reason they weren’t tested is because they don’t care. They care about diamond dynasty. They care about selling you stubs. Those features always work. When there was an exploit last year to get XP they fix that in a matter of days.

Idk man. Im not defending sds, but its definelty in their best interests to have players playing diamond dynasty online. The servers being down all the time hurts sds a million times more than it hurts us as individual consumers. New players on Xbox my have already written this game off due to the servers, vet players are scared to play online or buy stubs because [censored] keeps disappearing, casual people like myself dont see the point in investing any more money into the game, im sure they are getting thousands of tickets about missing content. I very seriously doubt they are on a yacht laughing at us right now.

This made me think of that scene from Billy Madison when Billy went off on the tangent about the puppy who couldn’t fine his way.

You can't call them dumb when you're just throwing out random false facts lol. Nobody gave the game away for free dude.. Grow up. Many Xbox users like myself bought the DD version or standard. Even the people on Gamepass pay money for it. Every month. And when they take it off Gamepass, they have to buy it if they want to continue to play it. Nobody is getting it for free. Literally nobody. And don't blame SDS. It was MLB that forced them to go multi-platform. And nobody is making you play this game lol. Go play Fortnite with your Jr high buddies. They will prob think your stories are cool
