Keep saving stubs or spend?

Trying to go NMS this year and currently sitting at 250k stubs. The ultimate goal was to save and get trout as I’ve never pulled him (never have) and with the parallel system this year getting him to 99 is nice and most likely won’t be replaced unless it’s a better version of him.
My question is should I spend the 90k on Mookie as I’m a huge defensive stat guy for my outfield and push back the trout savings or keep waiting?
Current OF is
42 series, Gallo, Grisham and Santander

Everything we do in the game is and has been a [censored] shoot to this point. Save them ... they might disappear , spend them and watch what you’ve spent them on disappear.

I looked up and had 360K last night after only doing TA showdowns and conquest and hardly no flipping and was like hummm, Trout is going for 340K should I? And I did. But i will not be locking any LS players in until I get pretty much a whole division or maybe even a whole League. Because the team rewards just arent worth it.

I’m about 60% done each TA, and skipped on a bunch of Conquest but I’m trying to grind to 40 wins and sell the reward card before they drop more (if they do) decided to buy 5 headliners for Orel.... 0-5 lol

Yeah one of my number one rules as no money spent, is to never purchase packs until I have LS done.

I spent all my stubs on some magic beans.
Will you guys loan me some while I wait for this beanstalk to grow? -
I flipped thousands of cards and saved up enough for Trout last week. I was tempted to use that money to instead buy four other LS collection gateway cards (or ten other good cards to really improve my DD team), but I spent all my friggin money and bought him (like you, I have also never packed him, I’m in my 7th year now, so I have also never had him so early). Worth it.
Mookie’s a great card but if you buy him, you may not get Trout until much, much later in the year. Wait, get him, and parallel level him up. Even if they release a 99 Trout later, it won’t be better than a 95 card with +5 parallel boost on top of Inside Edge.

Plus the advantage in quirks the LS has over “Special Edition” ones
