PCI hitting online
-
Hi everyone.
I have couple questions which i have been struggling for a while.
-
Is hitting offline easier then online? Like i can pretty much crush everything in offline. Rookie, Veteran etc. Offline most of my guys have something like .450 BA. As soon as i jump into online my batting average immediately drops to .250-.300. Is my internet slow and that makes hitting online more difficult?

That leads straight to my next question: Any tips to bat with righties? I am in real life left-handed hitter and i feel so much better left-handed in game too. I just can't make solid contact with righties at all. Especially slider outside corner is just poison to me. Can't do anything.

I think i know the answer to this question already but i guess it won't hurt to ask. My PCI placement is ok ish if the ball is at the center of the plate but as soon as it is either inside or outside i struggle. And i struggle a lot i mean. For some weird reason i just cant move the PCI to inside or outside. I have been trying real hard but it just won't move i feel like.
Thanks if anyone could give me some tips and answers. Much appreciated.

Best bet is to grind BP. I know it's not sexy, but it will help.
This year, thankfully, they added 'Specific Pitch AND Location preference' if you choose Batting practice ONLY. You can choose all Sliders and location. Whatever your weakness is you can work on it in BP. 'Team practice' is regular. There you can't choose what pitch you want to see.
One major tip is 1)Choose a team to bat with.. Load them up with players you hit badly (or even great with) aka 'so and so has a bad swing'
2)Choose an opponent. (Im in NYC, so I bat with my 'Mets' vs the 'Yankees).' Load THAT team up with pitchers you struggle with, or legends that are downright tough, or nasty like Mike Scott or Vida Blue, for instance.
3)Save that roster and use it every time against that other team in BP. Experiment with higher difficulties. No one is there to see you struggle, unless your girl is sitting next to you 🤪,so struggle away as this will make you better. There are no 3-1, 2-2 counts, or baserunners. No shame in failing on HOF or Legend. Just try it. You never know.
I'm Lefty IRL, and can relate a bit! -
Practice practice practice. And rookie/veteran is nowhere near enough to hit online. The only online mode on Veteran is Spring Training in Ranked Season. After 2 wins, you’re basically playing Allstar or better going forward. Until you can beat the CPU easily and/or consistently on Allstar, I wouldn’t even try online. No shame in needing the practice and experience. Work your way up.
