Ballplayer Progression

you have to equip it and start that grind

Ok. That's what I figured..But it didn't give me an architect for a Catcher.
Just Shortstop, Third base, and Center Fielder.
So, I have to change my player to go up to the next tier?
How do these YouTubers do it? I haven't seen any of their players change position.
Also, won't that mess with my RTTS since I have one started with him at catcher?
-
the ballplayer is separate from rtts, what ever the rtts guy is will stay in rtts
For dd you have to move him around

Ok. So if I have a player in DD; he can only get points towards the DD stats and not the RTTS stats?
I saw a video today where someone put their Ballplayer, after playing one AB in a Play Vs CPU game, in a RTTS campaign and was getting points toward the RTTS path.
Both players were Diamond and both were the same position.

Wait: is it like this:
If I make a cap/Ballplayer and automatically put him in my DD squad; he's a Bronze. If I want to build him up I have to go thru the path and fan only get DD stats with him.
Now, if I make one and start him in RTTS and start incurring points from the RTTS path, does that mean that I can only build up THAT Ballplayer in RTTS and when he gets to Diamond, I can then port him over?
You can't have one player getting points towards each path simultaneously?
@Ikasnu_PSN you told me about the Sim -Sim and Exit process. Can you help?

It's the same player so there's no porting over. The issue is that in RTTS you can choose your position based on the perk you choose and he can stay in that position forever. That same player in DD will likely have to change primary positions as you progress him, especially if you want a C.

So I have to play him out of position in DD until I get another Catcher Architect?
But he won't be out of position in RTTS?

exactly, I saw the vid you were talking about. Basically you can play rtts or dd to progress the “Archetype” not the player itself

I hate the new CAP honestly because now I have to have a guy that I can’t use at the position I want. Essentially less flexibility and more reliance on buying equipment and perks
