    I’ve been playing RTTS since The show 16, and nothing’s changed until this year. This years RTTS is absolutely horrible. I’m not sure if the developers put all their time into diamond dynasty or what, but RTTS has taken 10 steps backwards. It honestly makes me sad because I love this game, but it just seems like the developers don’t care to please the fans of RTTS.

    There seems to be A LOT of players sharing your opinion.

    I've been playing The Show 09 and well, sadly I think it was better than this...

    RTTS was changed for the worse. It is absolute [censored]. Need to fix the missions. Played for 5 days and does not record my progress. We do not need to build stupid stadiums. Put your brains towards fixing the glitches with rtts and not designing a waterfall in centerfield that no one cares about. Packs should not cost so much. You already screwed over the fans with the price of the game. You do not need anymore of our money if you cannot fix the server connection problem. Fix the loading screens, was able to make dinner and eat it while waiting to go back one screen. I guess servers are overloaded with the stadium builds that are completely useless

    Although I'm not SDS's biggest fan at this time, in fairness I can't agree with this statement. SDS has tried to make various changes to RTTS over the years - some have been better executed than others. Well, almost all have been better executed than 2021. Here's a list of things that they've changed:

    • Player Team Selection not sure exactly what year they introduced this - I think ~2016 or so - but back in the day the player had absolutely no control over which team he played for. Then they introduced a dialogue box during the character creation process (still there to the 2021 version) which lets you pick which team you will be drafted by;
    • Player Progression way back in the day you earned training points via on field performance and the you could spend those training points as you saw fit on your attributes. All player attributes went from 0 to 99, as your invested in attributes your OVR would go up. Back then, guys on this forum joked about "peds" because you could also buy caps from the store, use the caps to buy training points, and thus spend IRL $$ increasing your RTTS toons OVR faster. Sometime, I think it was around 2018, they changed this progression model. The cap was still 99 but they incorporated archetypes which would limit certain attributes and favor others. That's when the training model changed to something similar to the 2021 version - with a batting cage, training field, and gym option which would allow you to either increase your cap or directly increase your rating for an attribute. Eventually you had to increase your caps to improve your toons. But unlike 2021, character progression then was much faster than now;
    • Equipment back in the day equipment used to be purely cosmetic - no bonus gear at all. At that same time that SDS changed progression, they also introduced equipment. So players who were spending caps on training points could now spend caps on packs and hope to open great gear. The gear essentially became the substitute for the "peds" of years past;
    • Personality/Relationships I think it was 2019 that this change was introduced - you had different personality types ("Captain", "Maverick", etc.) which included their own training tree and as you unlocked the tree, you would gain different perks for your toon.

    That's a partial list for the ways RTTS has changed over the years. Again, I'm not a huge fan of SDS right now. But I do give them props and credit for being willing to experiment and introduce new concepts to this game.

    This statement I absolutely and 100% agree with. It truly boggles my mind how completely SDS has screwed the pooch this year.
