Gonna disagree with you. Sure hitting was fun....but it was also too easy and there was no skill gap how it was. You play a BR game and the score is like 10-9 in a three inning game. Perfect perfect was far too common.

I agree with you to an extent. But there is absolutely no way Yourfriendkyle is 44-1 in RS without a skill gap lmao

If pitching wasn’t so broken and you could locate your pitches better you’d see a lot less runs scored. Again low sinkers are being killed and pitches are way way way to often being hung belt and letter high down the plate

I honestly haven't had big issues with pitching and I have seen others complain. Pre-patch it just felt like a HR fest and every ball could be hit out anywhere. Perfect perfect happen like 10-15 times a game.

Well first off he is just a great player to start and secondly, he probably played 25-30 of those games against teams who only had a few diamonds or maybe all diamond squads but not the elite guys that he has from completing all collections.

Kyle and reb are a combined like 75-1 and we’re going to say there’s no skill gap? Someone competing with you doesn’t mean there’s no skill gap

Of course there is a skill gap in RS especially with guys like Kyle and Reb and their God squads. Between the two of them they probably played 45-50 games versus gold/diamond teams with their goon squads.

Secondly, BR there was no skill gap everyone could hit due to hitting being sooooo easy.

Closest thing we have to good hitting in years and it has to be ruined by a few people that think finally being properly rewarded for good input is hitting being “too easy”

Can’t wait for the complaints about the RNG fests that are sure to happen!

Completely agree. And i’m glad this is coming from you, who is one of the better players on the forums. The simple fix was to increase pitch speeds. That’s it. It’s gonna be RNG and lineouts galore. Happens every year

Wow, Skepple and I agree on hitting! Hitting was amazing pre patch with all good input being rewarded equally (even if it meant higher scores). This patch once again adds randomness by reducing perfects on center good, which means someone is getting the shaft with a squared out liner again.

I thought pitching was perfectly fine. My only gripe is today's hitting update. Unwind it!

You and I disagree on some things, but I agree with you 100%. I’m not the hitter you are or as good as you. I respect your opinion. With that being said, hitting felt fun. They could have increased pitch speeds. I’m in ranked right now and my opponent and I are hitting soft stuff all game.

I had a perfect/perfect that just came if the bat with 90 mph exit velocity. That’s not right.

It wasn’t the best. But people need to realize if you don’t have Kluber, Newhouser Or Snell FOTF all the other pitchers have bad attributes and no glitched releases in Snells case. Getting rocked with Gold and Low diamond pitchers shouldn’t have been a shock to anybody. Even the good LS relievers like Chapman, Osuna etc. people have literally faced thousands of times over the years. Finally getting rewarded for good hitting input seems to be a problem with the very same people that have constantly complained about not getting rewarded for 4 years

I hear what your saying... but my Greg Maddux should not be hanging a sinker out over the plate when I set it on the inside corner and I had a good release

Just played a BR game where I had 4 perfect perfects. Only last one (walkoff to win) was a hit. Too early to tell, may be a one off, but it does feel a lot like last year after todays patch

+1. I’m still not sure why they didn’t just slightly increase the pitch speeds and shrink the PCI. While I will say I was still getting good/okay on perfectly centered pci placement occasionally, the hitting was definitely rewarding when you received “perfect” timing/placement. Probably the best hitting had been since 16 imo. Just needs the pitch speeds of 16.

Well just played a ranked game. 2 runs combined. I won and my opponent made great contact against my pitcher all game with no results.

It was no fun, I won with 2 solo HRs that felt like luck.

    This game sucks now.

There is so many people that want a “sim style” game and I just don’t get it. 3-2 games are exciting in real life but in a video game I want to smack baseballs. You can’t have rewarding input without high scoring games (You could in 16, but with 125 attributes and more people that have played 3 years since then and YouTube videos to help the new players, everyone has become much better hitters overall than they were in 16). 16-15 games are fun. 2-1 games are not

Yeah and I miss when in cs I would be able to no hit somebody because I pride myself on pitching . I have always won games off my pitching. Can’t say that so far this year. Not saying mashing balls isn’t fun I’m saying make pitching better

It took less than a week for SDS to ruin the great product they delivered on launch. The hitting changes from this patch need to be immediately rolled back.

I feel like I’m speaking for the general population of people who play this and I’m talking about the people who play DD RS and even the custom league guys. Hitting was about as close to mlb 16 as you could have gotten and for most of us that was the best game you made to date. Stop tweaking hitting to have pitching catch up. All we want is more on the black calls more umpire randomness and for love of all things holy fix the sensitivity on the pitching meters so we’re not hanging balls down the plate. That is all.

    And ps.

No sinker or splitter at the shins should go for a home run unless it’s Adrian Beltre or vlad the impaler of balls in the dirt

    Thanks

Don't speak for other people unless you know for sure that's their thought process as well.

Honestly speaking this game is going to collect virtual dust on my dashboard soon cause nothing they are doing is catering to the causals who just wanna play a game of baseball online.

If the top players want the game to be more of a sim....let them create their own game.

Top players want the exact opposite, top players want to be rewarded for good input, not be artificially limited by other factors after their input.
