CAP - So Frustrated!

I am trying to build my CAP, but I cannot figure this out. I have played this game for years and this is pretty ridiculous.
At the top level (Archtype??), I chose the Fielding one that allowed my player to be a Catcher. I only want Catcher. I think it was Slick Fielder.
For perks, I chose a couple others and again, this kept my guy at Catcher. I finished the Program and got 100 points, but my guy is still a 65?!! If I choose a different top level Archtype, my guy switches positions. Why did SDS do this???**
How do I get my guy to be a higher level Catcher? Gold+? Buy something on the market? I am lost with this. I keep playing DD and RTTS to try to get him higher, but now I am seeing that my guy is not getting credit for at bats and putouts. Why is this not working??

I just got my bronze program done for "slick fielder" and he started as a catcher and now has switched to a SS primary with the secondary fielding position as a C. Hoping to figure this out as I go. Took me forever just to figure out there was a program to grind to upgrade him. Maybe when you get to be a gold/diamond it'll give you the opportunity to switch positions again I have no idea. It's super confusing right now.

Just a heads up...the secondary positions don't work in dd. Even if it says playing as a secondary position. in your roster he will play like he's out of position and drop almost everything especially 3rd strikes...also once past bronze there is no catcher primary on that tree. I still haven't figured out what tree leads to a diamond catcher if there is even an option for one

SDS better patch this. It's almost like they did not get enough time to beta test this. This is nonsense. I cannot figure out how to get my player higher. He's still a bronze and he's not getting credit for ABs, put outs, etc.

This is my problem and I am not a new player. For the new XBOX players the CAP and server issues has to be problematic.

Amen, we won't be seeing 7 foot tall sub marine pitchers in ranked anymore. CAP in ranked seasons never belonged.
