I find this new pitch mode quite challenging, and even when it seems like I've got the timing down and am able to get green lines on the pitch pattern, I'm still not accurate on pitch location.

Curious if anybody is having any success with this?

Yeah it's amazing. Your timing and location when you pull down to release the ball will have a huge influence on its location. Check youtube for some nice tutorial videos to give you examples and tips.

Yes, it took some time getting used to but its worth it. Nothing feels better than throwing dots with pinpoint.

With analog pitching working well for the first time in 2 years, I am having a hard time trying to switch. I guess when they nerf analog in a couple weeks I will have to learn PP then.

This is encouraging. Are we back to the accuracy we used to enjoy in say TS17? If I recall from one of the early streams it looked like meter pitching is now more accurate than analog in 21 - that’s very surprising if true.

It is challenging. The thing that makes it sometimes difficult, depending on time of day/place you are playing/pitching view. Sometimes the circles are almost impossible to see with the lighting. I was shocked to see that analog was the 3rd most accurate. I tried analog this year, and it seems it was as accurate as the past. Vs the cpu im definitely trying this pinpoint, but if its a game online, definitely more comfortable w/ analog for now.

Don't use pinpoint if you've got a controller with Stick Drift! LOL Thought I'd try it out. Forgot the controller I was using drifted real bad in the Right Stick. Looked like a drunk baby trying to pitch.

The most important part is the downward motion towards the bottom circle. The first motion (pitch motion) is extremely forgiving

I guess if youve mastered it, people like it. Ive found it very hard to be consistent because every pitcher's timing is slightly different and its so dependent on timing. Ive found myself throwing lots of pitches in the dirt because if miss the other way, you end up leaving the ball in meatball territory.
Overall, its a good experiment regardless. They needed a high risk, high reward pitching mode for the highest skilled players. If you are just playing for fun in more casual amounts, it may not be worth the effort.

But its really only the downward part that differs from pitcher to pitcher. The first part of the motion is the same speed regardless of the pitcher. So really it’s just a matter of keeping the stick up for longer or shorter after the first motion before moving towards towards the bottom circle.

I practiced the pinpoint for a month on the tech test & just could not get it down. I would nail a pitch then the next would be 10 feet outside the batter’s box. I’m just sticking with analog even if it’s not “the best”.

Thanks, yeah I watched tutorial by Koogs which I found to be very helpful and finally have an understanding of how the whole mechanics works.

I can tell without having really tried it, that it's gonna take some commitment and practice because it seems like a lot goes into it. I might give it a try, but it's gonna be difficult to pull me away from analog pitching that I'm currently using.

The first time I tried it, I didn’t quite understand the mechanics but now I do quite well and have had alot of success using it. I feel like when players really master it, it’s going to be very overpowering

The only thing I’m having a hard time with now with PP is slidestep to the plate. You have to almost do everything in one fluid motion. Very hard to do
