Will we be able to disable RTTS challenges this year?

I don’t know if devs reply here or read forum posts but this has been a real deal breaker for me over the last two years as RTTS is the only mode I really use. I fully appreciate that the challenges implemented in the last two versions of the game are supposed to be fun and add a new dimension to RTTS gameplay, but I just want to play baseball when I’m not in the menus. I found it really jarring in The Show 19 that I’d be presented with a challenge which often had no relevance to the at bat situation and which I couldn’t skip. The boss battles in particular curtailed my interest in playing ‘19. I’ve made this point before and been shot down for it, being told that it helps people who start over every year to improve their attributes quickly and that’s fine. But the mode and the game as a whole is fantastic precisely because we have so many options for how to play. Quick counts, presentation style, RTTS specific settings for how much of the game you see while on base, the ability to watch, play-by-play or have the next user play occur instantly and the year by year import save feature, to mention just a few.
I’m all for fleshing out the off the field experience, that’s great. And if people enjoy the challenges that’s also great. But I really hope we’re given the option to switch them off if they don’t suit our play style.

For the first three games I thought I’d got my wish, no challenges! Unfortunately they resurface after the initial being tried out as a two-way player thing runs it’s course. And I’d imagine those ridiculous boss battle things will follow suit.
I started my previous RTTS on TS14 and by ‘18 my player was a 16 year veteran, 12x All-Star, 2x World Series Champion and I’d played in thousands of games - obviously not at full length but nonetheless. It was the best sports game player career mode experience I’ve ever had. Honestly, the mode just feels like an arcade experience now. Which as I said before is totally fine, but we should be able to mould our experience in the options menus.
At this point I’m wondering if perhaps the devs should consider giving us the option to use our ballplayer in Franchise for a more simulation oriented experience. At any rate I’m beyond frustrated.

I'm frustrated too. They completely ruined RTTS! I had a PS4 and played MLB The Show since '14. I now play '21 on the Series X. This is the only year I really felt disappointed in how they handled this mode. I don't want to wait next year to enjoy this mode again. Everybody else feels the same way about RTTS right now. They need to provide a update and fix this. They really went the EA route and obselted their other game modes for Diamond Dynasty. Smh.

Yeah, it’s terrible. I’ve decided to go back to The Show 18 to see out my career there. I’m tempted to request a refund from Sony but I’m not sure how lenient they are. I probably played around 5 hours between setting up a Franchise and perfecting my new RTTS character so...
