I didnt get to pay 20 and missed most of 19.,,,and i should have a ps5 by the time 21 comes out. So im thinkin of playin this year.
Was the diamond dynasty still all changeups and curveball? Ive been wondering that for couple years since that was the biggest complaint 2 years ago of not being able to throw a fastball.
Just wondering what to look forward to

Pitching in 20 was almost the exact opposite of 18. Fastballs, Sinkers, and Cutters were the top pitches. Sliders were the best offspeed pitch. Curves and change ups hung like crazy and were generally garbage

I haven't been playing much lately since I want to take a break before 21 drops, but I did hop into a few event games last night. I threw a curveball below the zone with a good release (I think it was Walter Johnson because it was a righty righty matchup) and it ended up belt high center cut. I thought it would be hit to the moon, but luckily my opponent swung super early and missed.

I do have success with curves and change ups some times (especially when someone is consistently sitting fastball and flails at everything else), but I would say more often than not when the game decides it's time to send it down the middle, it gets hit a long way.

Pitching in 20 was horrid. It’s the worst pitching game in mlb history. 18 was bad as far as pitch speed but 20 you can stay alive and tire a pitcher without having any plate vision or skill.

The mistake down the middle feature is the worst thing they ever brought to the game. The improvement on pitching is by far the biggest improvement that I noticed.

I’ve been going back and forth between 17,18,19,20. Overall 20 is prob the worst overall game. It’s def the MOST catered to the new casual.

18 is really bad. nothing makes sense in that game but Idk. 20 is pretty horrific too. They are almost equally bad in diff way

Something I really didn’t realize until just yesterday is the pci on 20 seems very broken in comparison to the other mlbs. the movement of it is the least fluid of all the games.
