Another thread complaining about the game not rewarding “good contact” Well that means you need to have more consistent “good contact”. Irl do you know what they call a hitter who gets occasional good contact? Normal!!! And those who get consistent good contact? Mike Trout, Juan Soto, Freddie Freeman, and Mookie Betts. In other words elite players. My guess is the OP is not an elite gamer. If you want to see better results become more disciplined at the plate and learn how to read pitches so you can make consistent good contact and you’ll see you’re results improve dramatically.
Ive made consistent good contact and lined out for an entire game and lost to an opponent that struck out 23 times. Just stop. The games bad. The beta if they keep it how it is will be a true test of real skill.
In fact I’ve lost to several opponents that the ONLY way they got a hit is because they were swinging at everything and the game forced a perfect meter directly down the middle. Mind you this is after 15 line outs to the defense on my end tracking the ball to all parts of the zone. High and tight, low and away. Working counts etc. mlb 20 is not a skill based game. It just isn’t.
And yet Ive managed to have like a 82-19 record with a team batting average north of .300 and a team ERA 3.50. Yep I must have zero skill and it’s all been rng luck. I ought to go buy a lottery ticket as I’m the luckiest person in the world. SMH at the stupidity of your post. Have a good day kid
So explain how this happens. 15 line outs to the defense on contact of literally maybe an 8th of an inch away from perfect with power swings. 2 perfect perfect outs. My opponent strikes out 19 times and wins on 3 late weak hits to a full energy pitcher? That’s not a one time occurrence this is an epidemic in this game. Please tell me it’s not true because I will start making videos. Search the internet. Watch YouTube. Game is not skill based period. A lot of these so called “top players” got MAN HANDLED in the beta.
Personally I beat 3 very known streamers and 2 of them it wasn’t even close and they have similar records to yours in 20.
I played the beta too, do you know how many games I lost combining all the events (70 plus games) and about 15 friendlies? The correct answer is 2!!! 1 because of a server disconnect and another on a walk off. Top of the leaderboard in events in all of them. So what exactly is your point. You beat some good players. Good for you. Your whole argument is there is no skill in 20 and you use the beta to make an argument except your argument holds no water. I’m not a lucky player bud, I’m a good player I’m certainly not top 10 nor top 20 or even in the top 100 but based on this thread I’m certainly better than you are based on your logic. Fact is there is plenty of skill in this game and generally speaking I don’t lose to the inferior opponent. I find a way to win because I don’t sit there expecting bad things to happen. If I get tagged for an “rng” homer I don’t lose my mind and start making false assumptions about what’s going on, I just move on and play. I’ve had many games where I’ve had a ton of perfect contact not be rewarded but I don’t complain about it I just make adjustments on where I’m hitting the ball and take the runs I surrendered back. So please spare me the song and dance about rng.

Just because someone streams doesn’t make them good at the game. But out of curiosity I’d like to know which streamers you might be referring to. I’m sure they would corroborate your story of you MAN HANDLING them seeings that streaming was forbidden and if they were a top streamer they wouldn’t sacrifice their revenue stream to not stream their content. Something smells fishy with this claim.

Any chance you can post a link to this game log? I’m not being a [censored] about it, just want to see the late innings summaries.

Nah man sorry. I’m way better then you think. I’m not complaining about the game cuS I’m bad at it. In order to play the game competitively you need to get to HOF first before HOF it’s 100% an absolute [censored] shoot. I’ve lost to BAD players on allstar after completely out inputting them to the point a mercy isn’t out of the question —
And I too don’t make false assumptions. And I too find ways too win which is usually 8-9 more great contacts with Diamond studs that go right to the defense. I have a lot of experience in this game. I know how to win at a high level. This game doesn’t allow for that level of competitiveness. That’s why they are changing it bro...it’s no secret.
The game is random. Accept it and move on. I means it’s so random it’s not even funny how random it is.

The games been bad for 4 years I’m good at the gameplay the gameplay is random. I make valid gam complaints I can prove - you want the game to suck so you don’t have to face actual competition. You’ve been defending the worst versions of this game for four years - let’s make the game competitive so wins aren’t decided by algorithims

I meant to link me games on the website where you had like multiple perfects line outs. Btw your average is way up from 15-16-17 etc. your actually improving it looks like. I just think your expecting to much. I do think there needs to be changes to the game your just exaggerating way out of proportion.

Can I get some game logs to back up information
Like me beating scuffy
Or me going 12-1 my first attempt at BR
Sorry but if you think that from 18, 19 or 20 that you were good in this game. You were being rocked to sleep by SDS.
I meant to link me games on the website where you had like multiple perfects line outs. Btw your average is way up from 15-16-17 etc. your actually improving it looks like. I just think your expecting to much. I do think there needs to be changes to the game your just exaggerating way out of proportion.
my average should be way north of 300. And my wins should be like 85% dead [censored]. I’m not
Exaggerating whatsoever. That is me being totally honest. Even the game I win I don’t even count it’s All random. But if you were basing this game on stick skills. I think I’m a way more patient hitter with better pci placement that the vast majority. I’m by no means a top 50 player but I def consider myself skilled enough for like a top 100If they don’t ruin 21 I’ll prove that.
Btw it’s not only the random outs. It’s my opponent check swinging and foul tipping not working any counts and being able to get on base with bad contact ON TOP of my good contact being outs. There is some sort of “bad player help” that occurs in this game dude and I’m sure of it. When a player is flailing in the dirt why is it a mistake always happens over the heart of the plate? Why is it that the same player that flails gets balls ROCKED TO HIS DEFENSE FOR 5 straight innings and now has a Diamond pitcher at 27 pitches?? While he’s able to
Foul off multiple pitches an at bat with all sides of his bat to have my pitcher at 87 pitches but never really squaring the ball up until he gets a mistake?I’ve studied the mechanics in this game in great depth. It’s broken. Period. No. I don’t suck in the game play. No I’m not bad in the gameplay. I’m actually better then most people you will come across in the actual raw gameplay as I’ve been playing this game exclusively for about 13 years

Everyone deals with the same issues... so the issues don’t really effect the outcome of the game overall. You really are just a whiner. You expect World Series to be given to you.

Everyone deals with the same issues... so the issues don’t really effect the outcome of the game overall. You really are just a whiner. You expect World Series to be given to you.
Actually the total opposite. I expect World Series to be extremely challenging World Series is not where the problem lies. North of 750 I’m fine. I compete there...which obviously makes zero sense. I’m talking about ALLSTAR here where everything is a foul tip. Where everything is random. Where inputs make no sense. Where 1 person can consistently put good wood on the ball and the other person can strike out 20 times and win with garbage inputs. I’m not talking about HOF OR legend. The game actually plays good there. It’s getting there that should be easy for a player like me and the challenge should be when I get to HOF and not because I’m entitled...because I’m better then 95% of the people I face on that level.
And that’s a fact. If you get past allstar. You got lucky. Once you get past all star is when your skill comes into play. You disagree? Don’t care. You just don’t know what you are talking about. I’ve put enough time into this game to understand what good inputs are. I’m not talking about striking out late weak for a whole game and then I complain about 1 good input I’m talking about consistent good inputs an entire 9 innings CAN be overshadwoed by terrible gameplay.
Luckily I didn’t experience this in the beta. Hopefully they’ve come to the realization that this is what’s happening. I think SDS agrees with me based on my testing of the beta.

You’re just bad, nothing more nothing less, everybody else that’s good seems to be able to overcome the issues except you, this is a you problem more than anything else
-
played a game on all star earlier, dude struck out like 17 times, he had 3 runs on 6 hits, first inning he hit a 2 run homer on a missed spot by me, then he got nothing else until 9th inning with Degrom in the red at 110 pitches, I had 10 runs on 17 hits and I played bad to say the least, this is a you problem

Nah. False. Tons of great players stopped playing this game for these exact reasons they just aren’t vocal about it. You are wrong. And I’m def not bad. you keep saying that but the last person that was a level 1000 on this forum that started with that “you’re bad” stuff got smoked.
So put up or shut up. When 21 drops. You can send the invite if not I don’t want to hear about how much better your think you are because you can overcome random trash. Random trash should not be a thing. There was a time where it wasn’t and you woulda been a scrub. How do I know that? Because you defend this game. You like check swings too? Everyone defending this game NOW will be the same ppl crying to change it when the game drops watch.
I’ve competed with everyone that’s everyone on this game. I’m not saying I’m the best. I compete with everyone. I’ve already proved that. Weve went through this before.

Why aren’t you better if you’re so good? I went undefeated in the tech test, I’m assuming the same thing that happens every year will happen when 21 drops, I’ll be good as usual, you’ll complain that you’re not good enough
-
My guess will be .550 winning percentage hitting .270 just like you’ve been for the last 4 years straight

I barely lost in the tech test myself...no I don’t complain because I’m not doing good. That’s not when I complain. I was complaining when I was World Series dude. It’s not about winning and losing it’s about being able to overcome the game because of skill and not algorithims

How can you not overcome the game? Why can i hit .330 for 3 out of 4 years and you only .270? What special gift was I given by the devs that you weren’t?
