Does anyone else consistently get Good/Okay PCI feedback on placement that looks almost identical to Perfect Liner/Perfect Flyball placement? It’s been happening to me a lot in offline DD.

Yes, this has been happening a lot to me. I checked the update notes to see if they changed hitting. Seems like something is off. First few days of early access seemed perfect, then they had updates and now something seems off.

Also I can't seem to time a fastball for some reason and everything is "early". The swing path shows early but when I do a replay and look at the overhead view at the point of contact, basics physics would say otherwise!

    Hope they fix this soon.

Mind me asking what difficulty this was on? Because on the lower difficulties (everything below HOF) the PCI is huge and therefor has a tendency to be less accurate. Meaning it can show the baseball somewhat in the center of your PCI in the feedback and still get good/okay.

I’ve been able to get good timing, but I just lost a showdown against Gerrit Cole 14-15 and checked the batter analysis to see that 15 of my 20 outs were on 13+ contact ratings and 5 (6 bc of a diving stop double play) were on perfect contact.

Mainly AS and Veteran because of showdown. Almost every time it’s jarring enough for me to check, the pci rating shows 14 and i’m getting ~85 mph weak fly outs.

They should change that in the lower difficulties to make it easier to hit. Why have a larger PCI if its going to produce HOF feedback. Larger PCI should equal better outcomes, hence making the game easier for new players or those that prefer the easier difficulties.

I think the difference is more in the lower pitch speeds and the fact that the CPU doesn't paint corners or bats decently. I agree though that if the PCI is bigger it should have an equally wide sweet spot and therefor it should be easier to get better results.

It has a lot to do with a player's contact and the difficulty. You can be on a ball timing and placement but sometimes you just miss a ball. Also has to do with player vision too i believe
