I probably average 18 strikeouts a game. If I get more than 2-3 hits a game it’s a “good” game. PCI: Off (PCI was making it even harder to see ball, but maybe there’s adjustments to be made for its settings?)I have the same issue. Sometimes it depends on who you're playing (online or just against the computer). I've Google hitting tips. Biggest thing I can recommend is patience and practice. Watch pitches, study the opponents when playing online to see what their pitch tendency is. And again. Practice.

Probably not the most popular opinion here, but I switched to directional. I'm 40 years old myself and an ex D1 baseball player and prefer timing it up and letting the chips fall where they may.
I dont play online much and mostly just do DD offline via the CPU but it made the game much more appealing to me.

I have an old ps4 as well but from the post I was under the impression that it's a setting within the game?

With the old ps4 it's not an option within the game itself

I agree with the batting practice tips, it really does help but the odd thing in my opinion is Ranked Season in general, I can absolutely rake on BP legend difficulty, I had surprisingly good success at the plate in the most recent Bregman event on legend, but I just can never get it going on ranked and I’m stuck between 650-750 ranking. It’s just a strikeout fest or weak and lazy contact with the occasional HR. So if you are having issues on ranked I get it and hoping I can figure it out/get pointers as well.

In 21 we need to make an old man's Veteran league, let's face it us OIF, OEF vets are getting up there in age, time fly's my brothers.

I think it’s either graphics mode or balanced by default. You can choose balanced but I’d change it to faster for DD

Thanks for the tip. I'll look for it next time I'm on. Is it an in game setting or a ps4 setting? I've got an older ps4 also and someone mentioned that it's not an option on those but ill take a look.
