So..... dumbed-out outfielders is still a thing

I've already lost count of how many runs I have given up where the outfielder doesn't play the ball after I put him in position. I remember this being a thing at the beginning of last year. How did they let it come back?

I haven’t had this happen once and I’ve played a ton of games. Sometimes it feels a little sketchy but mostly it’s just up to the user getting used to things

fielder should have locked on or started the catch animation. This has happened too many times.

Strong agree with the OP. Happens to myself or opponent once a game minimum in ranked series

I have Cody Bellinger in right field and so many times the ball just goes by him or hits him the chest. Dude has a diamond shield. It’s ridiculous.

just had it happen online and it cost me the game. they will probably fix it since it's still technically pre-release .

I dont know how to exactly explain what just happened to me in RS I was winning by one. the guys i was playing had 2 guys on with 2 outs. he hits a fly ball and i had a glitch where my outfielder slowly walks forward and doesnt even put his hand up. the ball went all the way to the warning track and i couldnt switch fielders. the play resulted in a inside the park homerun and i lost

It’s happened to me too. Also there is ZERO sense of urgency on OF going after balls at the fence
