Yea but a dashboard is a free win that was the point of my post. I like when people dashboard idrc abt stats at all
Just because you don’t care doesn’t mean that other people don’t. Sometimes I’m literally only playing the event to prestige certain cards. Last event was 50 win cap and after I hit that I kept playing just for stats. Everyone plays for different reasons, but it is always a D-bag move to dashboard. It also usually takes place in a situation where you are already going to beat the person so they aren’t giving you a “free” win anyway. They are literally just taking away stats that you grind for because they are childish.

Pitching Pitching Pitching. I can not say it enough is the problem in this game. Why should players be rewarded with HR's swinging way out of the zone?

Whether you care about stats or not, the fact is dashboarding is theft. They are robbing you of stats that you accumulated in pursuit of a goal within the game (prestiging).
I'm not saying call the feds, but if SDS puts something in the game that requires you to accumulate stats via online games, then they should also provide measures to minimize the ability of other players erasing progress towards those goals.
If you need 3 HRs to prestige a guy and you have to hit 4 or more HRs because of dashboarders, that is impacting the player experience.
Either they get rid of online only stat grinds, or do something to discourage dashboarding.
Very well said.
I love stats. I like knowing who my best players are. I hate looking at Soto's online stats and thinking "oh right, but he had two HR's taken away so actually his OPS is higher". Keep in mind I don't play online often (I have a hard time setting aside 45-60 minutes where I know I won't be interrupted for a RS game, and events are plagued with dashboarding and requests for stat boosts), so at this point I have hit 5 HR's with Soto and two of those were dashboarded... so I actually only have three on his stat line.
I also get bothered by the fact that people do it purposely, when they gain nothing by doing it. They do it 100% to be a [censored]. The only benefit they get from it is knowing it will annoy their opponent.
Technically they do gain something by doing it, their pitcher's ERA doesn't reflect the run(s) scored via that HR. It's not much, but the simple fact that they benefit statwise while you don't is reason enough for SDS to stop it.
very well said Abbyspappa i hear you completely
I think we can all agree that dashboarding is very unsportsmanlike. I know I should be a lot closer to prestige Griffey right now if it wasn't for dashboarding.
some people deserve a good dashboarding - those who bunt dance and act like a$$hole$ you know who im referring to
not really, but I'm sure they're out there.
you never played someone who R2's or bunt dances like a tool?

Yes we know there are issues, but what does that have to do with you dashboarding?
If you truly believed this, then every time you hit a HR on a bad swing you would dashboard yourself. How many times have you done that?

I do not hit homeruns on pitches above my head or way insdie or outside. I am not even talking about the pitches hanging in the middle of the plate where they should have never been. My opponent can dashboard any time they want I am not the one complaining about Dashboarding. Once again, pitches not being called on the black for Strike and then throw one out of the zone above a players head inside for a HR is not deserving when the hitter should have be struck out by my pitcher pitching strikes on the edges. It is pretty simple to understand. Do you think you should be rewarded for swinging at pitches above your head or at your ankles inside or outside, It is not once every 3 to 5 games it is every single game in this event.

What it has to do with dashboarding is that HR is not deserving just as my pitches on the edges are not deserving it is crazy that people can just take pitch after pitch after pitch on the edges and get walk or force a ball in the zone. It cool to swing over your head inside or outside for HR all the time.

Seems like the dashboarding has gotten worse over the past week or so as well. For me, whether it's a dashboard or not I just don't like playing a game, getting halfway through it and then having my opponent quit on me. A lot of times it might be a good competitive game also. Might be tied 1-1 in the 5th inning and I hit a 2 run homer and my opponent quits. Now it's 3-1 but it's still only the 5th inning and plenty of time to make a comeback. I guess sure, I'll take the free win but at the same time when I sit down and devote the time to play the game, I want to play the game. From start to finish, win or loose. I would almost rather loose a good competitive game fair and square in 9 innings then get a free win because my opponent quits in the 5th inning after I hit a HR.
A few years back in one of the NBA games, I think it was 2k but it could have even been back in the NBA live days, you could see in the matchup screen who your opponent was, their record, and their quit percentage. You could then back out of the game with no penalty at that point if you wanted to. I like the idea of showing the percentage of times your opponent has quit out of games. If you're matched up with someone who quits 45% of the time and you don't want to deal with that just exit out and look for a different game. Maybe not show the record because then you'll have a bunch of people exiting out if they get matched up with someone with a good record, but the quit percentage I like.

absolutely true mate.... part of the game this year hopefully they can fix this for next

Solution = if you dashboard then you have to experience a real tackle from James Harrison. James Harrison doesn’t get paid unless he hits you so problem solved
