Kolten Wong speed stat
-
I think Kolten Wong is faster than a 58 which he has on his card in MLB the Show 20. I think he should be at least a 70. He led the Cardinals last year with 24 stolen bases according to baseball reference.

Speed is directly take from last years real life stats (via statcast I believe.) It's probably the only card stat you can't debate.

Why would the Cardinals run with a slow base runner then? I'm just saying!

I believe they use 50 as the baseline avg. So technically at 58 he would have above avg speed.
Also, there's more to stealing than just flat out speed. Sure being fast helps, but arguably more important is situational awareness, getting a good jump, reading a pitcher, pitch selection, etc. etc. etc.
I'm curious, what's Wongs stealing stat in the game this year?

His speed was 59 and his 22 base stealing stat last year, the stealing stat was uped to 35 this year. On the other hand, Tyler O'Neill has an overrated speed stat with a 94 and Harrison Bader, one of the fastest guys on the team the announcers say, has a 87 speed stat.

Or, maybe you don’t actually know how fast they are, and the numbers are correct.

I could be wrong, I'm just putting it out there.

It urks me that they can't get the ST jerseys right. One of my few nitpicks in the game lol

Kolten Wong isn't even a top 200 fastest player. O'Niell is top 10.

Bellinger speed is under rated
