It was an awful scene, he's lucky he didn't lose consciousness or he would've been burned alive.

I'm a big F1 fan and love the Bahrain track. I got up early to watch and saw a Red Flag. I couldn't believe what happened, but Hamilton reminded us of how dangerous motorsports can be.

Yes, we often forget that F1 drivers are in a high risk situation from start to finish. I guess it is because of their skill level
