How will the market on PS4 be on 21?
-
well, the thing is if mlb 21 runs at 120fps ps4 and ps5 players cant play together. Likely 21 will be a mess and run at 60fps online then 22 will be solid running at 120.

First year thr ps4 came out, did the show come out on ps3 and ps4? I remember I bought a ps4 right before the game came out not sure if I did just to upgrade or out of the need to play that new show

Lol, that isnt true man. They can definitely play together. That is how PC players play together in ranges of 20 fps-400+. How many frames you can see in 1 second is still 1 second. There will be no issues. Right now there are times your PS4 is getting 30-40 fps while someone elses are getting 60fps at the same time. You might be at 4k and sharper setting and they may be at 1080p faster setting or whatever. Dont worry, it changes nothing.

I really hope they cross platform at least between ps4 and ps5
-
The market will be the same for all platforms.

When you say it changes nothing.. what do you mean? If what you say is true and i assume it is, and people with a ps4 can play guys with a ps5... wont the guy on the ps4,especially an old ps4 be at a serious disadvantage?

I dont think a serious one. Like I said earlier. PC players play each other on wide ranges of different PC's. Just because someone else is getting 360FPS and someone else on a laptop is getting 35fps, doesnt mean they cannot play each other. Obviously at that difference it could give a big advantage. But not as big as you think. But difference between 120fps and 60fps no. The average person cannot even tell the difference. As long as the 60fps is constant. It is when you get those dips to around 30fps that they become apparent.

I feel ya man. I have a PS4 Pro and it struggles. I played RDR2 on my 4K tv from the time it came out until about 8 months ago. Looks nice, but you are talking a max of 30FPS. And lucky to get that. Had it on my PC for the last 8 months getting 80-90FPS at 4K and 115-130FPS at 1440P and it is crazy better lol. It actually makes me sick a little bit when i go back and play it on PS4 because of slower FPS. The last couple years the PS4 has really been pushed by developers. Most people with PS5's are suggesting going back and playing games like God of War and other demanding games because it is like a whole other experience.

I would bet MLBTS21 will be exactly like 20 graphically. I expect the big jump to come in 22

Could be right. Depends on how long the developers have been able to work with the PS5 for 21. But at least we will have a smoother experience next year for sure. It is when they start upping the graphics that gameplay suffers. But hopefully we are still a few years away from that. Not the graphics but when it starts being too much for the PS.

I’m dreading ‘21, personally. MLB the Show is literally the only game I play, apart from the odd racing game or GTA when friends come around who don’t care for baseball. Knowing I’m going to shell out hundreds of pounds, probably in excess of a thousand pounds, for a PS5, new monitor, MLB ‘21 and some accessories next year, just to experience the same game, with the same problems, plus a bunch of new problems (and shiny new cards, with ratings that now scale from 0-1000 instead of 125, or something equally inane) is really stupid. I’ll probably do it anyway, but I can already see what’s coming. “It’s the first year on multiple platforms, give them a break.” “There’s been a pandemic, you can’t hold them accountable for substandard gameplay!” “Next year, they’ll be able to use the hardware better, there were always going to be teething troubles on a new console generation!” Ah, next year, next year, next year. Excuses, excuses and more excuses. I’m not expecting great things from ‘21.
