Why am I playing so many goons in the event!!
-
I've lost the 7 or 8 games I've played and every single person has either a World Series banner, a 12-0 banner, or both! And everyones cracked! Ik its Allstar but still. Is it because my rating is to to high, should I bring my overall down to like a 93? Am I just unlucky to match up with these guys?

Online play has become so offense oriented and bad over the past month, and the game is so late in its cycle that the only players left are those that are really good and can survive such an environment. It’s not bad luck, it’s just unfortunately what this game is now.

so your definition of a goon is someone who has had success?

Because I haven't started this event yet, but don't worry, I will be along soon for you to beat on.

A goon can also be defined as a slugger or heavy hitter. Or an enforcer, as in hockey.

I'm playing the event to prestige some of my guys, that's the only real reason I could see someone playing this. What I'm finding though are some of the sweatiest games imaginable. guys swapping pitchers every 3 hitters, starting relievers, up 8 runs and they're still throwing balls and trying to dot corners... Don't get me wrong, I'm playing to win games, BUT, im not treating this like RS or when I was grinding to get Goose.

I’m an average to below average online player and a flipper. Only speaking for myself here, but I haven’t been into the events this year. May have burned myself out playing pretty much all of them last year, but I think the difference this year is the market. It’s been so easy to make stubs that for pretty much every event it’s been more efficient for me to flip for the stubs to buy the rewards than to play the 70-80+ games it would take me to get to 50 wins. Given the choice, I’d rather grind by flipping than by dealing with online shenanigans.
