Let us Choose The Difficultly/Pitch Speeds in RS

Disagree. I think there should be only 1 speed. Changes from difficulty to difficulty should only affect the PCI and pitching accuracy.
I've been saying this forever. If a pitch is coming at you at 100 mph its coming at the same speed if you're in Class A or the MLB. Its just going to be harder to hit in the MLB, its not all of a sudden coming in at 120 mph.

Just try to hit it!! If can't you strike out, if you're successful, you hit a home run. That's the main rule of directional.

& timing windows, imo
Agreed.

Pitch speed and timing windows are the same car but with different paint imo.

Started the new season, one the first game and got up to 740something
Next game, match up with someone in the 600s and the gameplay just totally shifts going from HOF to AS
I don’t understand why we can’t just choose to play on HOF (or whatever difficulty) in Ranked and match up against opponents that also chose that difficulty
Sick of playing ranked on all star when everything is essentially a dice roll.
Let us choose our difficulty in ranked next year
Or better yet, have the difficulty level set based on the higher ranked team by default.
If I was a 600 player going up against 700 or higher, I wouldn't mind and actually prefer playing on HOF.

Please elaborate. Shrinking windows forces you to have better timing rather than just be quicker.
Edit: I think I see what you mean. If you increase the window, you are effectively slowing the pitch by allowing it to be hit well later in its path.

Thats pretty much it. If it takes 2 seconds to reach the plate, and in all star takes 1.75 seconds to react with perfect input, then you have 1.75 seconds to react. If on HoF it takes 1.5 seconds to react with perfect input. Then you've essentially increased the speed forcing quicker reaction to get the best results.
Obviously those numbers are for examples sake, but you get the idea. Same car, different color.

@ikasnu I still think it would be a net positive tho. Because if you have good timing at lower difficulty, you have no adjustment period when increasing difficulty. The only adjustment would have to be made by those using the wider window as a crutch. Which seems fine to me.
The way it is, EVERYBODY has to re-adjust when going up in difficulty. This is the source of our frustration with differing pitch speeds by difficulty. Widening the window with universal speeds eliminates that problem, IF you have good timing the whole time (which good players who are able to move up in difficulty generally do).

Ahhhh, okay I see what you mean now. Shrinking it would definitely be beneficial, im not sure why I tied in shrinking the window to decreasing the time it takes to react but I did.
