Im so confused on how to hit online.
Sometimes I think I have perfect PCI placement and then the feedback has me nowhere close.
Other times I wait and then I swing and the ball is in the glove when my guy swings.
What really puzzles me is that when I do move my PCI and think Im right on it the feedback has me dead center, it's almost like it froze.
I'll never understand how zone works online.
I watch the YouTube's and it's so fluid, when I do it, I can't get the [censored] close at all.
Nobody has ever been able to explain online hitting in a logical way that makes any sense to me.

A monitor helps a lot. I started playing on a 55 inch TV, had the same issues. Switched to a monitor and its night and day. Also , and I haven't experimented with this yet, but I believe the vision attribute is much more important than peeps think.
The better the vision attribute is, the greater the timing widow is according to SDS.

Yeah I have a monitor. It just boils down to I can't recognize pitches online for some reason. There is no rhyme or reason. I hit just fine offline. Play on HOF and Legend for moments and no issues.
I swing at everything and when I don't and exercise the take pitches approach it's worse. Im just done with DD and this game overall. Tired of beating my head against this wall.

Idk man, only other thing I can tell you is to be patient and focus on good at bats. Its also very important not to give your opposing pitcher confidence and part of the game is to wear him down and get him fatigued. Try not swinging until you get 2 strikes for the first 3 innings and really study your opponents pitching tendencies. Also watch cbrev on YouTube.

I meant I’m batting .312 online. So I can hit. I just don’t like to deal with lag or RNG in this game. So I quit games a lot

Doesn’t help when you play trolls that throw high and inside sinkers every other pitch. The sinker in this game is so flawed it’s actually laughable.

As someone who can’t really hit the online experience isn’t an enjoyable one only
Play there to hit missions and that’s a struggle in itself

You arent alone. When I do think I put a good swing where the ball actually is and the feedback shows that I was in the right spot its says the timing was too early or too late. When I feel like Ive timed the pitch correctly the PCI seems to be 4 inches over from where I thought I had it. Other times I feel I got a swing that should be P/P and its like the bat has a hole in the middle and its a foul ball or a swing and miss. Its super frustrating. Very frustrating online but SUPER frustrating in showdowns and moments where you know you should see more hittable pitches.

I know this won’t be popular but I don’t give a F about my record. If I can tell my hits are just nerfed not going anywhere whatever you want to call it. I just quit. Go to the next game. I can only play maybe 2-3 games a day. I don’t have the time or energy to put up with the lag bull sheet that comes with RS games.. or the bull RnG for that matter. I am .312 online for the season online. Honestly this makes my life a lot easier and much less frustrating. I don’t care about getting WS I’m good with stubs and can buy whoever I want so. Just my two cents.

I agree, I don't care about my record either because I will never be a WS player, but if I hit 312, I would be, I think anyway. Im a . 176 and 18 K a game for the reasons I stated, so you must be doing something right. I'd love to know your hitting approach.

The problem it that its a catch 22. The higher you go the better the player, the lower you get the more BS you have to put up with peoples antics.

It seems lately I can't get more than 4 hits a game. I think the game feels bad for me and gives me a couple hits in the late innings. Tearing it up at.234 this year. My problem is pitch recognition

Im pretty much done with this game. It seems it only reserved for the best hitters, whatever that is. I've tried everything.
Striking out 18 times a game and not being competetive is no fun. Yeah I've built a great team through collections, stubs, flipping, etc. That's all good but if you can't use the cards to their max potential, what's the point, I might as well have 26 commons in my lineup, it's the same thing.

Amen. There is no way to do it because the douches would infiltrate but it would be nice if you wanted to lock yourself into say 400-500 the full year. I dont pretend I could compete at 600+ and anything below 400 is like childs play.

Hitting in this game is extremely realistic in terms of the strategies you need to use to be successful. You've got to get the pitcher into positions where he's predictable. Maybe start the game taking a strike and pay attention to tendencies. You may notice a guy throws hard/soft/hard/soft. Maybe all his fastballs are high. Collect the data so you can guess right, which will increase the likelihood of hitting balls hard with your swings. Also, fatigue and confidence play a key role in RNG-generated mistake pitches so you'll get more fat pitches by making the pitcher work for it.

i feel the same way man. Feels like my bat is invisible at times. Beyond frustrating. I dont need to win every game but staying competitive shouldn't be too hard

Early is the meta at this point. I just watched a video and every homerun outside of Griffey’s were early or just early.
