I don’t know how the awards Carter plays, but I didn’t like the gold Carter’s swing, if that helps any

He was pretty good, I had like 150 at-bats with him, above an 1.000 OPS, I liked his swing

He was my favorite catcher by far in 19. I didn’t hit a ton of HRs despite his respectable power attributes, but he was a singles and doubles machine for me. This year’s card doesn’t look quite as good as last year’s, unfortunately.
I always loved The Kid, so that’s why I’m going to end up blowing 650K on him at some point. But I think there are probably at least 4 or 5 catchers whose attributes are objectively better. I doubt he’ll be your new starting catcher, so I guess you’ll have to ask yourself if it’s worth more than half a million stubs to satisfy your OCD.
If you’re looking for a new catcher, I would probably just wait for FS Adley or see if any catchers get a super juiced Finest. Unless FS Adley is a BR reward, he’ll be a fraction of Carter’s price.
