I don’t hate moments but I wouldn’t mind seeing more offline grinds. But, I would want those grinds to be more like the WS and POTM programs this year than the grinds in 18. Some of those were brutal.

They were brutal but I enjoyed ‘18. It was the first time I played DD.Maybe that’s why. Playing online is coo but there’s too many issues IMO.

It was my first year too and I enjoyed it overall as well. I’d just want to avoid the grind missions that basically require you to hit and quit against the cpu if you want to unlock a top tier player in less than a month. And of course the Nava/Molitor single-game type missions where you have to play 9 inning games against the cpu to have a chance to complete them should never come back. Keep the missions simple so they can be done in conquest and allow offline players to kill multiple birds with one stone imo.

Maybe I'm just a stick in the mud, but I really find offline grind missions incredibly boring, I didn't like the WS ones even though it was relatively easy as I knocked it out in a couple conquest games.

I wouldn't go as far as to say I like moments, but if it was one or the other, I'd probably pick moments.

I think the cards that require offline grinds should be sellable just like all the cards (except prestige) that are available thru online play

Agree with that I think every card should be attainable online, offline, and on the market. Or at least 2 of the 3.

18 was my first real year at playing DD and the offline grinding was brutal but still kinda fun. I had probably 30 days or more worth of playing vs the cpu 9 full innings on rookie at Coors field. Not fun...

The biggest issue I have with moments is not getting anything to hit. Spending 25-45 minutes trying to hit one HR on Veteran just flat out sucks. Then when you finally get a hold of one, the CPU outfielders turn on their Go Go Gadget legs and arms, and catch everything. The multi game missions need to let us go straight into the next game, no reason for us to go back to the menu.

I want the stat grinds back.

Not at 18's levels (those saves and holds were way too much), but 17's was great. I thought that 17 had the best, it required you to use all different types of cards. You could find a card that you'd never use if it weren't for those programs, that you just dominate with.

The World Series and Monthly Programs were vastly more fun and tolerable than big groups of Moments. I can handle Moments if they aren't overly tedious which is rare. But being at the mercy of the CPU is just so suboptimal from a consumer perspective and content being tied behind Moments feels lame.

However, I see no reason they couldn't offer both. For those that prefer the potentially quick nature of Moments let them have Moments. Just clean them up. But have the stat grinds available as well and have them all be worth enough program points or whatever to unlock the content.

The Player Programs were cool this year, but most of the progress was tied behind Moments with online only missions being the only stat grind in most. While I can handle playing the CPU in a full game most of the time, there ARE times where I would prefer a quicker path to the content. So between Moments/stat grind missions, I see no reason they couldn't utilize both to provide options to players. I've turned my console off in disgust after spending way too much time on Moments even after unlocking the card. And Moments do a great job of making me never want to even use the card because of the PTSD.

The Monthly and World Series are good examples of how more efficient paths to unlocking don't leave that negative association. I didn't want to set myself on fire after doing those.

Whoever creates these moments in an angry person.

I agree with the above, they could easily do both stat grinds and moments for those who hate themselves. I have farmed moments off to my 9 year old who probably views them as punishment by this point in the game cycle.

I really enjoyed the World Series grind and the September Monthly grind and prefer those, as well as online missions. I like the programs where you have to use certain players or series to mix it up. I think moments are cool, I just hate the 3 XBH/1 game. Mainly because more of it is luck b/c so many of them I get HBP, can't avoid a walk or only get 3 PAs. I've gotten where I don't mind the multi-game moments as much, but the ability to dashboard makes them more tolerable.

I don't mind the scenarios put in place in the moments. I would rather just be able to complete them in a play vs CPU where I control the whole team. I'd much rather have more stat grinds. Not like back in years past, with the insane stat grinds, but things like they've been putting forth with some of the player programs.

I kind of agree but then I think you run the risk of not being able to dashboard.

It just bothers me when they say "play the game your way" when that's not really possible. You can't accomplish amuch of anything in this game without doing Moments.

Just pause the game then dashboard.

I'd rather do moments like this versus the "moments" from '17 or '18...

I think one game with Brandon Gueyer you had to draw a walk or two in a game.
