Never play at night or on a Sunday. All the casuals are asleep or watching football, leaving only the die hards. The ones with averages in the 3s and ERAs in the 6s. The ones who lead and steal with everyone runner. The ones who just put pitches right over the plate as quickly as possible so they can hurry up and bat. You know, the ones with World Series banners that beat 7-2. Man I suck at this Game lol

Exactly! So what are you gonna do, play a casual match? Psssht. Heck no. I’ve spent too much time building up my squad for that. I’ll just get my brains bashed in, thank you.

No excuses on my part. I just have to learn how to win slugfests. Looking at the ERAs of the top players, it seems you have to score a TON to be successful this year.

The hard part is most of the people that are left are generally really good. So, it’s hard to find easy games. The last event was brutal for me. I probably had to play 120 games to win 50.

Do we all agree that Friday of a new inning is the best time to get easy wins? All the non online people are just trying to get the online stars.

It seems like the later in the year, the more unpleasant the opponent as well. I’ve run into more home run watching, bunt dancing, hyper aggressive button mashers over the last couple of days than I have all year long.

I just played my first true bunt cheeser. I guess I never really knew what it was because I’ve only played people who bunted with 1-2 players. This guy tried to bunt with every single guy in his lineup except Sheffield and Tatis. He dashboarded when I hit my 3rd HR. Also he picked Shibe Park.

Gotta love the people that bunt and steal, not for strategy, but just because they can. Especially love the steal of second with two outs and the pitcher on deck or bunting early with the 8 hitter and two outs.

And I’ll unfortunately admit, I’m not above dashboarding if some of the above behavior presents itself. Especially if they’re watching a homer up by five. As I said in an early thread, if someone is going to play like an ***hole, I’ll lose like one. Probably makes me just as bad.

I don’t think it’s just that, it’s the way the game is designed this year. I used to watch your streams and I feel as though you play the game in a similar manner to the way I play. You want to (need to?) pitch successfully in order to make an impact on a game, as opposed to just smashing the ball. You want a baseball game, not just a hitting simulator.

SDS are responsible for the endless hits and home runs due to their terrible gameplay design, which this year focused entirely on hitting, the introduction of the new perfect/perfect contact system and rewarding batters at a much higher rate than could ever be deemed to be even vaguely realistic. My last game, my opponent scored 2 in the the first, I scored 4. Then he added another run, before 4 more in the top of the third. 11 combined runs, 12 hits, 2 errors in just a couple of innings? I just turned it off. Not because I felt like I couldn’t come back from a couple of runs down, but because I didn’t really care if I won or lost, I just absolutely hate the offensive gameplay. At that pace, the game was set to be something like 21-12 with over 50 combined hits. What kind of baseball simulation are we playing here? MLB the Sunday beer league Show?

Somebody at SDS needs to get a clue and stop making arcade games for little kids and streamers, because this used to be a halfway serious baseball game before they implemented all this [censored].
