Is hitting different?

anyone else having some really strange Ab's lately? I didn't notice a patch or anything but lately I've been hitting balls with good placement and timing only to get strange results. ie pop ups to the catcher on balls almost dead center, had a few perfect foul balls, and then get rocket line drives into the gap with poor placement. It wouldnt drive me so crazy if I didn't then watch my opponent get hit after hit with horrible timing.
Idk I just wish sds would b give us more of a idea on what actually goes into the hitting engine to determine what the results are. -
Honestly brother, I think it’s just a day to day thing...Two days ago I was crushing the ball. Yesterday I had multiple perfect/perfects with guy who have 120+ power dying at the warning track all day long. This morning I’m crushing it again...I don’t know the reason why that is but it just seems like some days everything is smooth & others it’s rough going.

Its the perfect foulballs that really have me scratching my head.

They continually increase the randomness to offset the power/effectiveness creep of the new cards. It's why by the end of every game cycle, all the cards start feeling like they play the same regardless of attributes. Really hoping they go in another direction for next-gen because it barely feels like you're in control at times, which isn't great for a video game.
The big difference I've noticed this year is that timing now appears to be somewhat random. If you pay attention to the bat swing feedback animation, there's some really wonky disconnects (ie. feedback saying you were very early and the animation showing almost neutral). The perfect foul balls also seem to further confirm this as in your input was actually "perfect" but the game's outcome dice-roll landed on foul ball.

I think the thing that drives me absolutely insane is the close to “good” contact liner to 3B or 1B.

You don't have to live on this game to know they stop doing gameplay changes around April- May every year..

They actually don’t.. there were major gameplay updates in the fall last year. There also have been “small updates” that actually drastically change the hitting. (Patch 1.13 of mlb 19)

Also really weird when I hit perfect perfect foul balls immediately it will change it to just late. Has anyone else seen this happen? -
They turned on their Atlanta Braves slider, hit the ball hard at everyone for outs, weird base running mechanics and bullpens blowing leads...
