Why is DeGrom up to 281K?
Depends on how bad you want Mantle; but unless you're going to use that player; I would. NEVER pay over 200K for someone.
I want Mantle pretty bad.
But might end up waiting a while until deGrom's price goes down. Not sure. I really want him! And I might use deGrom in RS, but doubtful. Probs in a LS team build.I would however pay over 200k for Mantle...
I guess my question is: I can't get deGrom until I get Ellsbury sold. Will deGrom's price go down? Or should I just bite the bullet? I won't have enough until Jacoby has sold.
If you only have 160K now you need at least another 130K for DeGrom; so you need to sell Ellsbury for at least 150K (will net you 135K after the tax).
So you may be waiting awhile.
Can you liquidate anything else? RIB players?!Did you hit 300 stats yet this inning?
I have a bunch of duplicates I was saving for TA4 and the roster update. Should I sell those? I can total them up to see how much I would make, if that would help you help me.
My advice: Sell everything you don't need right now.
So, when you say this, do you mean all of the duplicates, even if I am investing in them? I would be fine with that, if it gets me Mantle.
Duplicates are replaceable, Mantle is forever...or at least until MLB TS 21.
Lol. I will probably look at my duplicates, and see how much I WOULD get, and then ask you your opinion, if you don't mind.
I will probably do that in 10 minutes or so. -
@abbyspapa As I am doing this, I found that I had 6 of a card I was flipping, and forgot about it. oops.
That should add around 17K times 5. That is a BIG YES!

That one that I realized I have 6 of should get me to 300 thousand, and this is before all of the cards I told you about, and some others I was not investing in, pure duplicates. This is awesome!

If Mantle were on the market, how much would he be? If Chipper is worth a million, Mantle is easily worth that...which is why Degrom is so much. Mantle is worth it. The biggest surprise to me, is how Trout is so much cheaper than Degrom.....doesnt make a lot of sense....
Also, I am a bit worried that with the World Series approaching and baseball's biggest and most visable week, that we are going to get another Stub sale, which could inflate market even more......its been a few weeks now since the last one....

Personally, I didn't have the patience, I just wanted the LS collection done.

At this point, its a coin flip. He'll be sure to go down at some point....my guess, that there is a stub sale in the next week or two and Flash sales to go with them, so while Live series cards would go down, the Stub sale could keep the value from dropping too much. I bought Degrom yesterday for 250k and didnt bat an eye...... Trout was 146k and cheap, so just did it on my secondary NMS account.

Ehh, people are getting stupid with it IMO with unnecessary undercuts. Nate Jones for example, you could buy him this morning for 115 stubs and sell him for 8K, and people have shot themselves in the foot and have it down to sell for like 345 stubs last I looked. I made 117K stubs just flipping him earlier today before people started cutting the orders down by 50% at a clip. Stupid if you ask me...
