I used to be able to tolerate moments but now they’ve just become so repetitive. For the player programs it’s always the same few things. For the recent Ripken program for example it was get 2 hits and a HR three different times in the same program.

And some of the other moments are just bizarre. Like get 3 hits in a game with 50 contact Mitch Garver, or hit a home run with 50 power Shane Victorino.

And then of course you are always doing it against some pitcher that throws 10 straight offspeed pitches in the dirt and you have to swing to try to avoid a walk. And in between those ten pitches he’s throwing over to first 6 times for a runner that has no purpose at all being in the mission in the first place. And if you do hit the ball and it’s an out you have to sit and watch your guy walk back to the dugout while the other runner on third tries to run home before you can restart it.

After a while it all becomes just so monotonous.

[censored] Higashioka man. This mission might as well just say hit 3 HR cause this slow as mother is not legging out any doubles.

Finished Ripkin yesterday and man does that card suck. Only did it to get the 25 stars. He will never break my lineup.

Put him on my 1990s squad. He’s hitting a spectacular .100 (1-10) so far.

If CPU pitchers on veteran difficulty actually threw fastballs in the zone they would be a lot less frustrating. Almost every at bat starts with 2 offspeed way down in the zone when I need XBHs. It's stupid.

Moments are awful! There is nothing more boring or a waste of time than spending sometimes 20 minutes trying to hit a HR or trying to get three hits with a HR. complete waste of time. I'd rather play a full 9 inning game. I said it on another thread. Moments and showdown can take a walk off a cliff.

I actually prefer moments. Better to me than grinding 1000 innings with a certain team vs cpu. That sh!t is boring af.

I don’t mind the grind but what I do mind is 3 xbh with a player. Never can accomplish it

I love the grind. I can’t begin to tell you how much I hate moments. It’s not that fact they are hard just make no [censored] sense sometimes. Very poorly put together.

F this Yelich moment. its the last thing thats standing between me and Lou. I've probably played it for 8 hours, thousands of times.
Moments are just dumb. Like someone said earlier the Ripkin is a perfect example of just wasting time doing basically the same thing over and over. It doesnt improve your game - it has you swinging at almost everything.

At some point it becomes less and less about skill and is just luck. The other moment I struggled on was the Vlad Jr. It got to the point where I just held the stick all the way down and just pressed the button without looking.

I like showdown because unlike moments walks do matter. Maybe next year if you get walked in moments you can re-do the at bat or earn a "continue" if you fail the last at bat.

Holy [censored] I finally beat it. Again no skill required. I just held the stick down and to the right and waited for that pitch.
Now on to higgy and Anderson. Ughh

I'm not sure how many years of DD moments have been in the game but this is my first year doing a few here and there. For the most part Tatis Jr. was the main card I wanted and of course being a Padre fan had to have. That's what got me looking into it. I actually didn't think it was too difficult or that much of a grind, wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be. I would MUCH rather do that kind of stuff than have to tally up stats with particular cards online. When I play a ranked season game I like to play with my best team possible giving me the best chance to win that particular game. I hate the idea of having to play some random card that I normally wouldn't just get accumulate stats with it. It also gives me something to do within the game if I only have a half hour or so to play. Maybe not enough time to jump into a RS game but enough to knock out a moment or two.
