I've maybe seen this happen once in real life in many, many, many years, but it happens like once a day in this game for me.
It just happened to me twice within the span of about 6 or 7 batters during the second showdown mini boss. Nothing kills the momentum in showdown quite like a double play that probably should have been an XBH and an rbi.

I feel like a lot of MLB players have been playing the show this year because I've actually seen that play more in real life this year than ever before.

The way SDS seems to treat relievers... They’re too slow to upgrade compared to every other position, slow to release The top end ones and also really nerf their stamina, I mean one pitch and they’re in the yellow half the time. I get why Kluber and Lodolo we’re coming out of the pen all the time.. I don’t know if this is done on purpose or not, but I feel this is half the reason we think there is comeback logic.

I think I've seen it twice in this short season. Not as rare as you say but its also not as common for me.

If I could change only one thing, I'd bring back stat grinds that can be done offline. Make it like it is in Team Affinity, online you only need 150 Innings to get 2 points, but you're also working towards the other Inning grind which is 250 Innings. Make us have to get more stats offline than online. I'm down with that.

This annoying DP was a trophy in '16.
I guess they left it in for the A.I. to frustrate us as they're successful 99% of the time with it. -
