" I'm more worried about the guy on deck, than the guy batting, this is who I want to bat and beat me, if I'm on the mound" 99 Cobb was batting.
What's the funniest line you've heard while playing the show?
-
“This one has a chance” ball is caught 60 feet from the wall...
-
"Couldn't have located that cutter any better", on a cutter right down the middle.
-
Turned off commentary in May, haven't looked back, game is so much better without it.
-
“Everybody knows if you want to make a guy uncomfortable, you pound him inside.”
-
They patched it, but when they referred to switch hitters. I think it went something like this.... “he’s definitely no Chipper Jones”.... while Chipper was batting.

I heard that recently, I’m not sure they did patch it. I have to say I have a love/hate relationship with the commentary in this game. I can’t play without it, but it truly drives me nuts at times. It’s so repetitive and cliched when you play a lot of games like I do.
Some of the more annoying or memorable lines for me are Plesac saying “Wow, was he looking to swing the bat there, check pitch on a swing.....” which makes no sense, D-Ro either wittering on about being a lowball hitter so you can take the strike zone to the ground, but he can’t live with getting popped above the belt, or always sitting fastball middle away and being fooled by that nasty slider (“They say the toughest pitch to hit in baseball is a well located fastball. I disagree. That nasty slider...... I was always sitting fastball middle away and when the ball popped out of the pitchers hand.....”), or, even longer and more rambling, how he never stole a base because he’d “get to first base, hand his gloves to the first base coach, give daps to the first baseman and be like ‘yo, what’s up?’”
Then we have Matty “Twos all over the place” V, who continues to repeat the same hackneyed lines he’s been churning out since Tatis was playing tee ball. Santa Maria!

It bugs me to no end when you're up like 8-0 in the 6th inning with two outs and you can throw a ball on an 0-2 count and they're like, "hey, a walk here could set them up for something really productive. You don't want to go into the later innings down big!"
Chill, dude. It's a shutout going and I threw a single ball with two outs. lol
-
“In steps the speedy Tony Kemp”. Guy has 39 speed
-
"With his big power he's feelin pretty good at the dish right now" while David Fletcher is hitting

Just turned it off, and I love it....

During the Extreme showdowns the dude smokes something before every game and keeps starting the showdown with "With over 70 outs at their disposal", next level, "With over 100 outs to work with" only 12 outs to work with. It's quite comical.
-
A recent one: RTTS boss challenge with the pitcher at the plate, ‘as dangerous as they come’. This has also happens with my RTTS player (pitcher).
Sorry about the length, it’s a bug report for the dynamic challenge carrying over to the next batter.
-
I also like how they talk about "this young starter" Even though they're in their late 30's
-
Any time a SP is a bronze, no matter if he’s 35 or a 10 year vet, he’s always a « young starter on the mound »
-
When Matty V and Plesac both tell me this is the only guy in the lineup to go down on strikes this game
-
"He's more of a lefty specialist" while Aroldis Chapman was pitching
