Just Tried out the Event...

My goodness...
This event just places a huge, glaring spotlight on the same issue of contact hitters being useless.
What is the point of making us use these type of players when perfect/perfects are either weak flyouts, a liner right at someone, or the occasional shocking gapper
This event highlights the failure by SDS to make contact hitters effective online for yet another year. What a god awful event. That was the first and last game I’ll play of that. What a garbage idea and implementation

Like I understand that not every game mode or event should be catered to my liking. And I’m always down to try new things.
But with how contact hitters play online, especially on HOF against the top pitchers...just a horrible idea and horrible event
-
Exactly I don’t mind having to hit my way around the bases but [censored] let my guys get on base. Definitely should have been gold and under for pitchers. No diamonds should have been allowed. Someone in SDS actually thought this was a cool/good idea which scares the [censored] out of me

Looks like we’re waiting on Dead ball 2

It would be fine if it were 75 power, because contact hitters in the 65-75 power range like Brock, Carew, and Kendall aren’t useless at all. Even Allstar Helton was good for me for a long time. My personal biggest problem with this event is that the eligible players are greatly superior against right handed pitching and I’ve seen Paxton, Leiter, and Kershaw almost exclusively

I almost hit a homerun with Benitendi to right field lol it hit off the wall I was shocked it went that far
-
I’ve hit 9 homeruns, but it’s kind of getting old. Forbes field isn’t fun and it honestly is a line out fest. Just have to be lucky and be early on a fastball
-
I played some guy at Forbes Field (great name) in ranked for the first time. You need some fast outfielders there, for sure. That field could not hold the absolute raw power of Jesse Winker and Brad Miller, who is the best card in the game.

They use events to gather data about certain aspects of gameplay. They set the parameters to capture that specific style they want to look at. They’re probably trying to figure out how to make contact hitters work as intended
